Spencer Pratt: Marriage to Heidi Montag Was “a Show”

Spencer Pratt has responded to Heidi Montag’s decision just a few hours after she officially filed for divorce Friday in Santa Monica, Calif. Superior Court.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt pictured in Hollywood, CA on November 19, 2009.

"I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world, And that world is on a sound stage." Pratt, 26, told People Friday.

When asked about the reason for the split, the reality star said: “It’s clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag’s ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world.”

"Some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, Well, Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage." Pratt added.

The Hills stars began dating in 2006. They wed in November 2008 and again in April 2009. Montag, 23, filed for legal separation from Pratt two months ago, citing irreconcilable differences in her petition.

Heidi Montag, 23, and Spencer Pratt, 26, began dating in 2006. They got married in Mexico in November 2008 and again in California on April 2009. The two called it quits in May and legally separated the following month.

Montag has now officially filed for divorce Friday in Santa Monica, Calif., Superior Court, citing the usual irreconcilable differences in the petition.

“Heidi has amended her petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt,” her lawyer, Jodeane Farrell, tells People magazine.

"The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out of court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce."

Boy Krazy And Sonia: The Latest PWL Artists To Get Remastered And Repackaged On CD

Both Sonia's 1990 album Everybody Knows and Boy Krazy's 1993 self-titled LP are being re-released in CD format on the Cherry Pop label September 20. You may recall that Boy Krazy's remastered album and single EPs (with a shedful of mixes) were added to iTunes last year, while Sonia's PWL material was made available digitally this past spring.

It's worth noting that Boy Krazy's album was the last one Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman worked on as a production trio, before Matt split.

Says the press info:
"When first issued in the UK in 1991, 'That's What Love Can Do' failed to enter the Top 75, but 18 months later it was playlisted by a Denver radio station and soon became a runaway airplay hit across the US. As a result, the single was reissued internationally and work on the album finally completed at PWL. Despite scoring two US hits, Boy Krazy split up later in 1993."

Jennifer Lopez an American Idol Judge?

Jennifer Lopez will replace Ellen DeGeneres on the judging table for ‘American Idol’ according to reports.

DeGeneres has announced that she is leaving the hit show after only one season, conceding: “My work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

Lopez’s manager Benny Medina is said to have sat down with television producers a month ago for negotiations, and allegedly they sealed the deal earlier this week, Deadline reports.

The daytime talk-show host’s resignation follows ongoing speculation surrounding who will take Simon Cowell’s place when he leaves the talent program. In January Cowell announced that this would be his last season on ‘Idol’ and he is planning on focusing his attention on bringing his British talent show The ‘X Factor’ to the Us.

Justin Timberlake and Elton John’s names have in recent days been added to the list of potential candidates to step into Cowell’s shoes.

Anna Faris Cosmopolitan Magazine US Feb 2010 Photoshoot Video

American actress Anna Faris landed on the cover page of entertainment magazine Cosmopolitan US February 2010. The magazine voted her as their Fun Fearless Female of the Year. “Every woman needs a pair,” Anna says as she holds up the soft-core-porn equivalent of Dorothy’s ruby slippers, “and Chris totally loves it when I wear them.”

Snooki Arrested for Alleged Public Disorderly

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi allegedly took things too far this time. The petite reality star, 22, of Jersey Shore  was being booked by the Seaside Heights, N.J., police department Friday after she was seen intoxicated in public, a police source confirms. Meanwhile, the cameras on her popular MTV reality show were rolling too. Polizzi was expected to be charged with disorderly conduct, another source says.“She didn’t hurt anyone or get in a fight,” says the second source. “She just needs to be in a drunk tank for two hours.” A rep for the show declined to comment.

Ellen DeGeneres Quits American Idol

Ellen DeGeneres said she quit American Idol yesterday. According to  TMZ,  popular daytime talk show host and one of American Idol season 9 judges Ellen DeGeneres, said that she quit the show yesterday after being on there for just one season. They say that she’s claiming it wasn’t the right fit. She took to her “Twitter” account to make the announcement. She wrote,  “Dim the lights. I’ve voted myself off American Idol.”

Ellen says that she came to her decision a couple of months ago. She stated, “It was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.” They’ve also reported that Kara DioGuardi got fired from American Idol yesterday. They are going back to the three-judge format,and have reportedly completed a deal to bring singer/actress Jennifer Lopez on to replace Kara.

The only way Kara could get back on,is if Jennifer’s deal goes sour. Aerosmith lead singer, Steven Tyler is reportedly replacing Ellen on the show. However,that deal has not been conformed at this time.

Len Wiseman to Direct remake of Total Recall

Len Wiseman is in final talks to direct Columbia’s reboot of "Total Recall," the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi action movie directed by Paul Verhoeven.

Wiseman said recently "I've always been fascinated with Philip K. Dick's short story, and I'm excited at that prospect of diving even deeper into the type of world it evokes and the questions it asks. I love that the most crucial mystery our character is trying to solve is the one of his own soul."

"Recall" follows a man haunted by a recurring dream of journeying to Mars who buys a literal dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc., which sells implanted memories. The man comes to believe he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony, where he joins the fight to overthrow an evil ruler controlling the production of air.

Wiseman’s directing credits include "Underworld," "Underworld: Evolution," "Live Free or Die Hard" and the pilot for CBS's remake of "Hawaii Five-0."

2009 'X Factor' Winner Joe McElderry Comes Out

Big up to last year's X Factor winner Joe McElderry, who today revealed he is gay on his official site. Joe topped the UK chart once on his own—with his cover of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" (after, of course, an initial harshing by Rage Against The Machine)—and contributed vocals to the all star Helping Haiti charity cover of "Everybody Hurts," which also hit #1 in England earlier this year. (He also sang on last November's chart-topping cover of "You Are Not Alone" with the other X Factor Finalists.)

Here's his statement in full:
"Hey Guys,

"Tomorrow there will be some articles about me in the newspapers because I have been doing some important interviews today. I wanted you to know that the articles are true. I also wanted you to know that I really respect your loyal support and all the kind messages I have had from you up to this date.
I have always been a very honest person and so it is important for me to continue to be honest. It has been the most amazing year so far and I feel so privileged. It’s also been a time of real self realisation and I feel as if I have grown up so much in these few months.

"There has been speculation about my sexuality in the past and I have always been honest at the time I have been asked. Over the past few weeks I have really had time to reflect and to realise who I am. I spoke to my friends and family about this in the last few days and it was important to do the same for you all as you have been so supportive.

"I have had nothing but support from you and many of you have been very open in saying that you will continue to support me whatever my sexuality. It is important to me to let you know first, so that you know the stories in the papers are true. I made the choice to speak openly about this.

"Again, I can’t thank you enough for all your support. Everything is going well and I’m really happy to be able to move forward from here.

Joe."
Joe, who just turned 19 last month, couldn't have been classier. And to think, when I came out at 20, I think I wrote my statement on the backside of some stripper at a rave...

Jennifer Lopez American Idol Judge Season 10

Jennifer Lopez, the 41-year-old singer/actress, has reportedly signed on to become a permanent judge on American Idol’s season 10.

Jennifer Lopez pictured at the unveiling of the 'Be Extraordinary' billboard for the Boys & Girls Clubs Youth Advocacy Campaign at Times Square in New York City, New York on June 10, 2010.

“It’s true. She’s excited about it.” an industry source was quoted by People as saying.

The news comes the same day after Ellen DeGeneres announced she is leaving from her position as Idol’s judge for the show’s ninth season. “It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for," the talk show host said on Thursday.

Additionally, Kara DioGuardi has reportedly been fired, and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been offered a spot to replace Simon Cowell on the judging panel as well, according to TMZ.

What do you think of the new American Idol judging panel consist of Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson?

American Idol: Ellen DeGeneres Out with Jennifer Lopez Latest Possible Simon Cowell Replacement

Each day seems to have someone new being the Simon Cowell replacement on American Idol.

Yesterday the replacement was rumored to be Jessica Simpson. That seemed ridiculous. Before Jessica, Justin Timberlake was the supposed replacement. Timberlake made more sense than Simpson.

Today's rumored Simon Cowell replacement is Jennifer Lopez. Ms. Lopez has long had a reputation for being difficult, so maybe she'd be an entertaining judge.

Yesterday when I blogged about the bizarre Jessica Simpson rumor I mentioned that I thought Ellen DeGeneres had grown increasingly tiresome as last season's American Idol drug to its lackluster conclusion.

And now today the big American Idol news is that Ellen DeGeneres is out, having told the American Idol producers that she did not think she was a good fit for the show. I'd agree with that.

But Jennifer Lopez? Why don't the American Idol producers dangle the same big bucks they were giving to Simon Cowell in front of Harry Connick, Jr. and hope it entices him to replace Simon Cowell.

Supposedly Kara DioGuardi has not yet been signed for the coming season of American Idol. Good. Give her the boot too and bring back Paula Abdul.

Harry Connick, Jr., Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson might just be the mix that stops American Idol's ratings slide.

Then again, once a show Jumps the Shark and starts to slide, usually nothing reverses the inevitable slippage to eventual cancellation day.

Ellen DeGeneres Leaves 'American Idol' After One Season: Here's A List Of Replacements

Damn. Ellen DeGeneres must have really hated her judging gig on American Idol during Season 9—i.e. the only season she was on the show.

The New York Times reports this evening that she's splitting "effective immediately," even though she had four more seasons left on her contract. Below is part of her statement that the publication printed:
"A couple months ago, I let Fox and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for."
So now they gotta fill both that broad and Simon Cowell's seats. Well here's a list of entertainers who ain't workin':

* Judy Tenuta
* Mariah Carey
* Gary Busey
* Lara Flynn Boyle
* That "Dude, you got a Dell!" guy
* Jesse Camp
* Pee Wee Herman
* Stacey Q
* Sisqo
* Tori Spelling
* Margaret Cho
* David Hasselhoff
* The Bangles
* Stevie Nicks
* Jenny Berggren
* Linn Berggren
* Tara Kemp
* Vanilla Ice
* Johnny Knoxville
* That broad who played Bubble on Absolutely Fabulous
* Prince
* Gerardo
* Pauly Shore
* Rosanne
* Kennedy
* Janice Dickinson
* Deborah Gibson
* Tiffany

Oh, wait—Debbie Gibson and Tiffany are working!

Zac Efron Confirms Visiting Strip Club

Zac Efron has admitted that he visited a strip club this past weekend, 12 hours before the premiere of his new film, Charlie St. Cloud in New York City.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Charlie St. Cloud Los Angeles Premiere held at the Regency Village Theatre

The 22-year-old actor confirmed that he went to Flash Dancers Gentlemen's Club in New York on Sunday night with High School Musical co-star Corbin Bleu during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live show Wednesday.

“I had this image of what it'd be like. I've heard a lot about these places, mostly from rap music - they're supposed to be pretty reputable! So I envisioned myself in a nice couch with stunner shades with T-Pain and Usher making it rain money! And it just wasn't like that.” Zac laughed.

But he also added that he asked girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens for permission before going to the club and “She was fine with it!”.

The New York Post first reported that Zac and Corbin visited the club and spent more than $2,000 on lap dancers and vodka, but the actor joked that he didn't spend $2,000 as reported, but rather $6,000.

Survivor Nicaragua: Young vs. Old or Kids vs. Geezers

The upcoming twenty-first season of Survivor, taking place in Nicaragua, is another Survivor with a gimmick.

This time there will be a young tribe of kids under 40 called the La Flor Tribe. The kids will be battling against the over 40 geriatrics in the Espada Tribe.

The Battle of the Generation Gap starts up at 8 Eastern/7 Central Time, Wednesday, September 15, which puts Survivor back in the time slot it occupied back in summer of 2000 for Survivor: Borneo.

Due to what Survivor producers call "The Russell Factor" Hidden Immunity Idols are going to be made more difficult for the kids and old folks to find.

Among the old Survivors will be a former coach of the Dallas Cowboys named Jimmy Johnson.

Is Jessica Simpson Replacing Simon Cowell on American Idol?

I thought it a ridiculous concept when I read this morning that Jessica Simpson is rumored to be the replacement for Simon Cowell on American Idol.

I like Jessica Simpson. She can be funny. Often not on purpose.

But, if American Idol has not already Jumped the Shark. And I think it has. Adding Jessica Simpson will surely be the final Jump of the Shark for this particular show.

Jessica Simpson would be like the anti-Simon Cowell. Where he was mean, snippy and, well, brutally honest, Jessica Simpson is just a sweet-natured nice Texas girl.

So, you'd have Jessica sitting next to the ever more annoying Kara DioGuardi, sitting next to the ever less amusing, borderline tiresome Ellen DeGeneres, sitting next to the only original left, Randy Jackson.

I just can't picture it. But, I guess I'd want to tune in, just to watch the absurdity of it.

Max Martin Makes Me Feel Like I'm Living A Teenage Dream

This literally has to be be Max Martin's most prolific time period, hit-wise, since 1999/2000, no? In glancing over the current Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Swedish songwriter-producer has zillion-dollar hands all over the following:

* Katy Perry's "California Gurls" (#2, co-wrote/co-produced)
* Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" (#3, co-wrote)
* Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" (#12, co-wrote/produced)
* Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" (debuts at #20, co-wrote)
* Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" (#69, co-wrote/co-produced)

I totally forgot to mention that "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" entered the Hot 100 at #19 last week—forgive me, I was still blinded by thoughts of Enrique Iglesias losing his pants. (And congrats to him for "I Like It" moving up to #6, thereby breaking the rut of the dreaded #8 that so often plagues pop stars.)

I have to say, hearing "Dynamite," "Teenage Dream" and "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" on the radio on a daily basis just makes me smile. And P.S., Max—I know you're notoriously press-shy, but get some new headshots already! We've all been using the same ones (plus the above frowny pic of you) for half a decade now.

Alright, onward to Kylie Minogue Aphrodite watch, now in week three—and it's looking pretty dire.  The album's path on the chart to date is now #19-89-190. Girl, get your Aussie butt over here and do some promotion, already. This ain't Body Language!

Over on the Dance/Club Play Songs chart, Kylie's "All The Lovers" moves up one position to #3.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Love The Way You Lie" - Eminem feat. Rihanna *2 weeks*
2. "California Gurls" - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg
3. "Dynamite" - Taio Cruz
4. "Airplanes" - B.o.B feat. Hayley Williams
5. "Billionaire" - Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars
6. "I Like It" - Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull
7. "Cooler Than Me" - Mike Posner
8. "OMG" - Usher feat. will.i.am
9. "Find Your Love" - Drake
10. "Ridin' Solo" - Jason Derulo

Sasha Grey in talks for thriller I Melt With You

The porn star who launched a thousand debates about her dramatic acting capabilities is coming back for more: Sasha Grey is in talks for the dark thriller I Melt With You, in which she’d play “a free spirit who helps one of the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death.” And all this time I thought nirvana was a prolonged 10-guy gangbang. I guess this is close enough; Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane, Zander Eckhouse and Abhi Sinha are aboard as well.

George Clooney’s girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis investigated for cocaine use

Elisabetta Canalis, Hollywood hunk George Clooney‘s girlfriend, is currently being investigated for allegedly using illegal drugs.

The Italian model was apparently accused by a witness of taking in cocaine when she partied at a nightclub in Milan called The Club in 2007.

At that time, Canalis was not yet romantically linked to Clooney. The couple had just started dating in 2009.

The testimony against Canalis came from former model Karima Menad, whose testimony was essential is putting other nightclubs in Milan under investigation for drug use.

Justin Timberlake negotiating for sci-fi film I'm.mortal

New Regency and 20th Century Fox are talking to Justin Timberlake to star in I’m.mortal, one of the most sought-after sci-fi projects in the marketplace today. No deal is done, but by the end of the week, Timberlake could be on board to play the protagonist in the film from writer/director Andrew Niccol (Gattaca). Timberlake’s reps declined to comment.

I’m.mortal depicts a future where the aging gene is turned off at age 25, but to avoid overpopulation, time has become the new currency. The lead character is a poor man from the ghetto who is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time. Amanda Seyfried has already signed on to play the beautiful rich girl he kidnaps while on the run.

Hurts And Kylie Minogue Confirm Duet "Devotion"

News came today from both Hurts (aka the new Pet Shop Boys) and Kylie Minogue that a duet between them titled "Devotion" will indeed appear on the Manchester, England duo's forthcoming debut LP Happiness.

NME posted confirmation from Hurts frontman Theo Hutchcraft earlier today:
"A few weeks ago we finished our album, but it did not feel complete. We have written an album, mainly about women, which felt lost without the salvation of a woman.

"We wrote a song about infidelity called 'Devotion'. Since we have enjoyed an illicit life-long love affair with Kylie Minogue, we mustered up every ounce of courage we had and asked her if she would like to sing the song with us. She said yes. The delicate yet powerful way she expresses the fragility of female emotion has added a magical missing ingredient to an album about love, loss and happiness. If you don't ask, you don't get… I guess."
Meanwhile, this evening Minogue tweeted, "I have recorded a song called 'Devotion' with the delicious 'Hurts'!!!"

Extremely excited for this album—and even more so now. It's out in the UK on September 6. In the meantime, Yanks can snag a pared-down version of the Arthur Baker remix of Hurts' single "Wonderful Life" (which shaves nearly a minute and 40 seconds off the original) from the latest KitsunĂ© Maison compilation on iTunes.

Soul Legend Paris Hilton Shooting New Music Video, Prepping Kylie Minogue-Inspired Album

Stop the presses! No sooner did I rip and toss Paris Hilton's 2006 debut LP Paris—a true foray into guilty pop pleasure—onto my iPod this week does news of her sophomore album arrive! And, as she says, it's inspired by Queen Of Everything That Exists, Kylie Minogue.

“I really have always loved Kylie Minogue. She’s, like, one of my favorite artists,” Paris told Heat magazine. “I’ve just been really inspired by her. I just wanted my music to kind of emulate her.”

Even classier—the music legend (Paris, that is) is shooting her upcoming video for "an unnamed track" off her upcoming album in Ibiza.

See, Moogaboo and I always believed in the musical genius of soulful vocalist Paris—so much so that we did not one but two banterviews on her back in 2006. And let's not forget that her Dr. Luke-produced jam "Nothing In This World" features backing vocals by a then-unknown Ke$ha.

Zac Efron Spend Over $2,000 on Vodka & Strippers: Report

Zac Efron and his friends reportedly spent more than $2,000 on lap dancers and vodka at a New York strip club just hours before the premiere of his new film, Charlie St. Cloud in New York City, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The 22-year-old actor was joined by his High School Musical co-star Corbin Bleu and another male friend visiting Flashdancers Gentlemen's Club on Sunday night, and stayed there until 3am, a witness told NYPost.

Zac came in Sunday night around midnight with Corbin and one other male friend, who paid for everything. They were seated in the VIP lounge behind the main stage. There was only a rail between them and the girls who were dancing

They ordered one bottle of Belvedere vodka and were enthralled with the dancers. They were interacting a lot with the girls and reaching out and showering money on them. There were three girls who Zac and his friends particularly liked and they asked to do personal dances at their table.

The girls were all slim pretty brunettes, a bit like Zac's girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens. They were two Americans, called Shannon and Brandi, and a gorgeous Brazilian called Raquel. Zac and the boys had a great time and left around 3 a.m. Monday morning.

About 12 hours later, Zac Efron walked the red carpet for the Cloud New York premiere arm-in-arm with his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens.

Apparently Tye and I wanted to see how many life-changing events we could fit into one calendar year, from getting engaged, married, new job, and we are now pregnant." Orlando Bloom, the 33-year-old actor, and Miranda Kerr, the 27-year-old Victoria's Secret model, tied the knot in a secret ceremony earlier this month. And currently, the newly-wed couple are also trying to keep it as a secret that they are expecting a baby!

“She's definitely pregnant... Miranda's thrilled. She's telling all her friends, mostly other models, about it," a friend of Kerr told US Weekly.

Emmm…It will be very hard for the low-key people to conceal the big news this time. “She poses in lingerie. It will be obvious soon enough." the source added.

Anyway, congrats to the happy parents-to-be!

Ryan Seacrest will not be replacing Simon Cowell for American Idol

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is just as much in the dark as the rest of us regarding who will replace judge Simon Cowell on the popular Fox singing competition show.

Seacrest tells "Extra," "I don't know who will be in the seat. They haven't made a decision, so we'll find out together." When asked if Seacrest himself is a possibility for the replacement, he said he would not be on the judges' panel. "I will host it," Seacrest declares.

Rumors have been swirling about who will take Cowell's place -- Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Harry Connick Jr. and Chris Isaak have all been mentioned in the conversation. Who is your favorite?

"American Idol" is currently holding its cattle-call auditions at various cities around the country. Season 10 will debut on Fox in early 2011.

Al Gore Questioned by Police in Sexual Abuse Case

Al Gore was reportedly questioned last week by Portland police about a massage therapist's claims he sexually abused her in 2006.

The former vice president, 62, who has emphatically denied the allegations, sat down Thursday with detectives in San Francisco, Portland TV station KATU reports.

A spokesperson for Gore declined to comment.

Therapist Molly Hagerty alleges Gore demanded sexual favors and made "unwanted sexual contact" with her during a massage in his Portland, Ore., hotel room four years ago.

Officials said they were reopening the investigation after detectives looking into the alleged incident this past year failed to notify high-ranking officials that they were dropping the case.

Gore and his wife Tipper, 61, split in June after 40 years of marriage. Tipper does not believe Haggerty's allegations, says a friend, who adds that "they played no role whatsoever in their decision to separate."

American Idol Reject sues for $300,000,000

Ian Bernardo, the American Idol reject who caused a ruckus during a live telecast by snatching away Dane Cook‘s mic, has filed a $300,000,000 lawsuit against American Idol.

Bernardo claims that he suffered emotional injuries and lost employment opportunities due to the actions of the producers of American Idol. Celebrity news source TMZ.com reports that Ian was supposedly instructed to “gay it up” and that American Idol producers had exploited his sexual orientation.

In the legal document filed with the NY State Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, he claims that he was threatened by Dane Cook after the live program and was told by the producers to leave the building because he was “not safe.”

The American Idol reject also claims that he was already exploited way back in 2006.
