Dalam wawancara 'The Daily Show', James mengaku tidak membesar-besarkan nominasi oscar untuk aktor terbaik di film '127 hours' yang didapatnya beberapa hari lalu... di hari pengumuman nominasi, dese gak merayakan dengan party-party! dia malah masuk ke kelas puisi di Yale tempatnya ngambil PhD!!
Dia bilang:
“I wouldn’t want to push it!” “I got the announcement, and then I went on the Today show, then I walked down the street and went into class.”
