Andrew Garcia Hollywood Week - Straight Up

Indeed, Andrew Garcia is one guy we'll be expecting to make it in the American Idol 9 Top 24. He's got a good vibe that kinds of remind us of Danny Gokey last year. Plus he concocted an exciting acoustic rendition of Paula Abdul's Straight Up rocked the judges.

Andrew Garcia instantly gained raves from the judges. Kara Dioguardi said that his performance was a "genius" and that he "interpreted" a song "similar to what Adam did last year" as he flipped the song to own it. He makes it to the next round obviously. Just watch the video below:

Finally! The American Idol 2010 auditions have ended and we're now heading to the most thrilling parts of the competition. Next week will be Hollywood Week and I think the pressure is on who will be on the American Idol 2010 Top 24 - Will our list be correct? Also, in the teaser of tonight's episode, they gave us the first glimpse of Ellen Degeneres - the new Idol judge! Yey, Ellen Degeneres is finally on the judge's table and it seems the 51 year old host/actress/comedian is really serious about her judging job. We see she's no Paula Abdul on the opinions she gave.
