Aqua's "How R U Doin?" Video Is Low Rent... Thank God!

Despite the members of Aqua driving around all fast and furious, the video for new single "How R U Doin?" doesn't really go anywhere. Instead it's a lot of cheesy car chase scenes in the night that look like they were shot for some Japanese Gozilla flick from the '60s.

But who cares? The song rocks, singer Lene Nystrøm looks flawless and, above all, the old Aqua camp factor is ever-present in the clip.

I'd almost forgotten about this song, so I'm glad that the video came along to remind me to give it another listen.

Aqua's Single "How R U Doin?" Now On U.S. iTunes

Aqua's new single "How R U Doin?" off their upcoming third album is now available for download at the U.S. iTunes store after initially being released across Europe last week.

About This New Aqua Single "How R U Doin?"...

Danish soul legends Aqua have a new pop-dance trash single coming out in Europe on Monday called "How R U Doin?" (Is it getting a U.S. release, as well?)

My ass finally got around to playing it, and at first it just sounds like a knockoff of Far East Movement and Dev's "Like A G6," but if Max Martin had produced it along with the Cataracs. It's also got shades of Taio Cruz's "Dynamite." Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. In fact the song become kind of an earworm after the third listen—if you give it that much of a chance.

At least it's better than "Back To The 80s," which landed (rightly so) on Chart Rigger's 10 Worst Singles Of 2009 list. Still, it's no "Spin Me A Christmas."
