Nicholas Cage Buys a Pyramid Despite Financial Woes

Despite his being embroiled in debts because of lavish purchases, Nicholas Cage is in it again - he bought a 9 foot mausoleum shaped like a pyramid. Nicholas Cage is somewhat unpredictable with his extravagance - buying a crystal skull and a castle before. Now, this - while his Bel-Air home is foreclosed and it's on auction for $10.4 million. He's also facing a tax bill amounting to $5 million due to a mistake made by his financial adviser. Fellow actor Johnny Depp has vowed before to help him with financial woes. Nicholas Cage Sued by Ex-Wife Despite Financial Woes

Poor Nicholas Cage! After being bogged down with all of his debts, now his former wife is out to get him even more bankrupt as she's filing a lawsuit against him worth $13 million. Ouch! Nick's ex-wife Christina Fulton, who's the mom of his 18 year old son Weston, reasoned out that she's suing for "mental, physical and emotional abuse" that the Con Air actor had caused her. Weston, who's caught up in between the scuffle of his parents, is reportedly upset about all these events.

In her affidavit Christina Fulton filed on December 8, she informed that Nicholas Cage bought a house in Los Angeles for her and their son. Fulton revealed that the 44 year old actor promised her that he would sign it to her name but failed to do so. This problem was only unveiled to her when she received a 60 day notice to vacate the property. Fulton cries that it was her ex-husband's negligence that she owes the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over $1 million and her credit card bills went up to $250,000 because he pledged that he would pay that off.

On the other hand, Nicholas Cage's lawyer Martin Singer laughed off the case of his client's ex-wife because it's entirely "ridiculous and absurd". Singer furthered that "Nicolas has given her approximately $3 million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her $6,000-a-month in child support. We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out."

Caught up in financial woes, Cage owes $6.3 million in back taxes, which has led to him having to sell off many of his assets including properties and yachts. All these financial worries Nicholas Cage blames his former accountant for it for negligence. Yet, his accountant fired back at him by saying that it was Cage's fault because of his uncontrollable and self-destructive spending by buying a dinosaur skull worth $276,000, a Lamborghini that cost him $495,000, two yachts, three castles, several mansions and a personal jet. Whoa! What kind of millionaire wouldn't go bankrupt with all these unnecessary purchases?
