Dancing With The Stars: Pamela Anderson Eliminated

Well. The watchability of the latest iteration of Dancing With The Stars dropped hugely, for me, with last night's booting of Pamela Anderson.

I think I've mentioned before that my only pre-dancing experience with Pamela Anderson had been watching her infamous home movies she filmed with her ex Tommy Lee husband.

I had no idea, from those movies, that she was so talented, likable and funny.

ABC, or someone, needs to find a sit-com for Pamela Anderson. Or add her to Desperate Housewives. That might get me watching that show again.

Pamela Anderson getting the boot sort of proves that not a lot of males watch DWTS, with mostly ol' house fraus doing the voting who for some reason may feel somewhat, I don't know, maybe envious of the Pamela Anderson Dancing Queen. Maybe they did not like her dancing partner, Damian Whitehead.

How did Pamela get the boot before that football player? Or Macy Gray? Well, I do find Macy Gray to be amusing. I'd rather have seen Derek Hough and that Goo Goo Doll I'd never heard of before get the boot.

Anyway. Maks and that Erin girl, who I like, but I've still not figured out why she's a celebrity, for the win.

Dancing With The Stars: Pamela Anderson Gets Judges Praise With Low Scores & Warnings About Wardrobe Malfunctions

Dancing With The Stars would not be watchable, for me, without the DVR fast forward function.

Last night's duo scores for Technical and Performance, seemed, to me, like just more filler to stretch the show out to 2 hours.

I was really annoyed after Pamela Anderson's really good, meaning, I guess, really sexy, Rhumba.

The Judges heaped praise, universally, on Pamela's Rhumba.

And then proceeded to give her not so good scores.

I did not get it.

I have never watched Pamela Anderson on Baywatch, or any other show she's been on, except for her home movies with ex-husband Tommy Lee. I figured she'd be a dumb blonde ditz stumble bum dancer.

Instead, Pamela Anderson seems really smart, funny, self-possessed and just really nice. I suppose you might throw sexy in there with those other descriptors.

I like her. I would not have guessed that would have been reaction upon exposure to her. I would have guessed my reaction would have been like when I was first exposed to Britney Spears, via Britney's reality show, as in, I was repulsed by that embarrassing trailer trash girl.

And, now this morning, as if the bizarre low scoring was not enough bad Pamela news, I learned the producers of Dancing With The Stars are giving Pamela Anderson a hard time about her dancing costumes, fearing a Janet Jackson type wardrobe malfunction.

Oh, yes, that would be a National Tragedy.

The Producers supposedly gave Pamela a list of costume requirements, telling her that she must make her costume designs more modest, or at least wear a bra and pasties.

Did Pamela get that memo before last night's show? Because last night's costume made Pamela appear to be naked with a white sheet flimsily wrapped around her. Pussycat Dolls dancer, Nicole Scherzinger, was also skimpily white-sheeted. I wonder if she got the Producer memo about modesty?

And what about pro dancer, Edyta Śliwińska? She seems to be the Queen of Skimpy, including last night.

Anyway, Pamela Anderson better not be in the Bottom Two tonight, due to last night's low scores.

Not that I cared enough to vote.

Dancing With The Stars: Pamela Anderson Better Not Get The Boot

I did not watch the results shows of Dancing With The Stars last week. It's a bloated show, usually, and I was not all that invested in who got the boot.

But, I was surprised when I learned that Shannen Doherty was the one cut. That made no sense to me. Which I think I've already mentioned.

I figured it would have been Aiden Turner, Buzz Aldrin or Kate Goselin, who got sent packing.

But, last night I learned those three were not even in the Bottom Two.

I fast forwarded through last night's DWTS, watching the ones I find entertaining, either due to fun dancing, fun personality, or being a train wreck.

I watched all of the Pamela Anderson section and was shocked, shocked I tell you, to learn, as was she, apparently, that Pamela was in the Bottom Two last week, along with Shannen. Pamela had to ask her partner, "We're in the bottom two?" To which he says, "Yes." To which Pamela says, "Goodness."

Yet one more charming moment from Pamela Anderson. Who was my favorite for the win from her first dance.

How could Pamela almost get the boot after her fun Marilyn Monroe routine, I sat perplexed wondering? That on top of her funny stripper girl routine from the week before. While that abusive acting Aiden Turner guy, whom I had never heard of and the annoying Kate Goselin were safe?

It makes one think that maybe United Nations election's inspectors need to be called in on this serious possible case of voter fraud.

But then I thought about it a bit more deeply. Who watches Dancing With The Stars? I'm guessing far more females than males. Likely a disproportionate number of those females are frumpy housefraus. Of the males watching DWTS it's likely a disproportionate number of them are more interested in Pamela's partner, who's name I had to Google, Damien Whitewood. He's seems pretty bland next to Pamela.

So, for Pamela to get a lot of votes, from the viewers, I'm guessing the percentage of hot-blooded male viewers would need to be increased. With that an unlikely thing to happen, I'm thinking, Pamela is doomed. And that is just not right. Damn jealous frumpy housefraus.

If Pamela gets the boot, 75% of my reason to continue to watch goes with her.

Dancing With The Stars For Pamela Anderson's Aunt Vie

I did not realize the latest iteration of Dancing With The Stars was starting up last night til I turned on my TV and checked to see what the DVR had recorded for me and saw that it was recording Dancing With the Stars.

About 45 minutes had been recorded, so I figured I'd watch til enough of 24 had been recorded to switch to watching 24.

Dancing With The Stars seems to have amped it up a bit. The stage, or set, or whatever you call it, seems a bit more glitzy.

Replacing the annoying Samantha Harris with the less annoying Brooke Burke seems like a real good improvement.

Judge Len Goodman seemed particularly judgemental and cranky, giving low scores. He was even cranky with the last dancer of the night, Pamela Anderson. I thought she'd be embarrassing to watch and in train wreck mode. Instead, well, I re-watched her dancing several times. I do not recollect doing that before.

Tom Bergeron was doing some swooning over Pamela, saying something about reverting to being a 15 year old boy.

Seeing recent Bachelor, Jake Pavelka, was unpleasant. I can't quite identify why. Wife to be, Vienna, was in the audience. Jake seemed very relieved to learn his partner was Chelsie, due, I assume, to she being the only professional shorter than he.

Shannon Doherty was a surprise. She didn't come across as a bad girl at all. A little pudgy and a bit worse for wear from her glory days. But, she seemed to do dancing well to my un-trained eyes.

Let's see if I can remember anything else that left an impression.

Oh, Shannon was dancing to please her daddy, while Pamela was dancing to please her dancing machine Aunt Vie. That is Aunt Vie in the picture at the top. I assume Aunt Vie is Canadian. You see jet black-haired old Canadian women, like Aunt Vie, if you hang out in the Vancouver zone.

The moon walker, Buzz Aldrin, looks darn good at 80. Rather spry with the dancing too, but of course the judges judged him harshly.

Edyta is paired with a TV soap star from the UK, who I had never heard of. I don't remember his name. All I remember was being interested in the outfit Edyta was barely wearing.

Kate Goeslin, she being the mother of a lot of kids on a TLC show I've never watched, did not seem to be having a whole lot of fun. Who is looking after all those kids while their mom dances, I could not help but wonder.

A figure skater, first name, Evan, won the Gold at the recent Vancouver Winter Olympics, which I did not watch, hence not knowing anything about Evan, including remembering his last name. Well, he seemed to take to the dancing, well. Apparently there had been some talk that it was unfair to have a figure skater in the dancing competition, like he was a ringer, or something. But, Evan made quite a fuss over it being totally different, with figure skating you rotate in the opposite direction of ballroom dancing. This drastic alteration wreaked havoc with Evan's balance til he got the hang of it.

There does not, currently, seem to be anyone dancing who is annoying on the level of last season's winner, Donny Osmond. If Jake Pavelka does not quickly get the boot he has potential to be annoying.

Pamela Anderson Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) Performance (Video)

Pamela Anderson was paired with her partner Damian Whitewood doing the Cha Cha at the 10th season of Dancing with the Stars last night.

She won over audiences and judges with her $exy moves, scoring 21 (7, 6, and 8) out of 30 point.

Check out the video of Pam’s performance on DWTS below:
