Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (originally titled Rise of the Apes) is an upcoming 2011 American science fiction film. The film is directed by Rupert Wyatt. It is a reboot of the Planet of the Apes series that will act as a foundation with an origin story for a new film series. Originally slated for a June 2011 release, it will be released in theaters on August 5, 2011. James Franco is set to play a scientist working on a cure for Alzheimer's by testing on apes. When test subject Caesar suddenly begins to mutate rapidly, the scientist takes him home to remove him from the cruel lab doctors. Franco was cast after talks with former co-star Tobey Maguire broke down. Freida Pinto and John Lithgow joined the cast on June 22, 2010. Andy Serkis will play Caesar, the ape that leads the revolt. Tom Felton will also star as the human character Dodge.

Priest Trailer

Priest is an upcoming 3-D futuristic superhero vampire western horror film loosely based on the manhwa, the Korean name for comics and print cartoons, of the same name. The film is directed by Scott Stewart and stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet and Maggie Q.

PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set 100 years from now after the war between Christians and Satanists,  The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend, a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

The film was initially set to premiere on 14 January 2011. Sony announced on Wednesday 28 April 2010 that the release date has been moved to 4 March 2011. The release date was again moved to 13 May 2011. It will be released in 3D.

Monsters - Trailer

Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and grow. In an effort to stem the destruction that resulted, half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain the massive creatures… Our story begins when a jaded US journalist (McNairy) begrudgingly agrees to find his boss’ daughter, a shaken American tourist (Able) and escort her through the infected zone to the safety of the US border.

Monsters is a 2010 British micro-budget science fiction film, written and directed by Gareth Edwards. It stars in the lead role Whitney Able and Scoot McNairy.

While the film sits within the science fiction genre, it can easily be read as a road movie as the central characters (Andrew and Samantha) are each transformed to reflect the situation and circumstances in which they find themselves. The characters that emerge at the end of the film clearly carry the impact of the journey. Some underlying themes that emerge through the film are:

    * Refugees and illegal immigrants
    * Military power and civilian protest
    * North-South divide
    * Biological adaptation and its unpredictable consequences

Unstoppable Trailer

Unstoppable is an upcoming action film directed by Tony Scott, written by Mark Bomback and starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. The film is set for release on November 12, 2010. A rail company frantically works to prevent an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying combustible liquids and poisonous gas from wiping out a city. A veteran engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine) chase the train in a separate locomotive in order to bring it under control before it's too late.

Unstoppable suffered various production challenges before filming could commence, including casting, schedule, location, and budgetary concerns.

In June 2007, 20th Century Fox was in negotiations with Martin Campbell to direct the film, and he was attached as director, until March 2009 when Tony Scott came onboard as director. In April, both Denzel Washington and Chris Pine were attached to the project.

The original budget had been trimmed from $107 million down to $100 million, but Fox wanted to further reduce it to the low $90 million range, asking director Scott to cut his salary from $9 million to $6 million, and wanting Washington to shave $4 million off his $20 million fee. Washington declined, and citing lost patience with the film's lack of a start date, and although attached since April, he formally withdrew from the project in July. Fox made a modified offer as enticement and he returned to the project two weeks later.
