Teri Hatcher to play Lois mom in Smallville

For the show’s 10th and final season, producers have scored perhaps their biggest casting coup: They’ve snagged erstwhile Lois Lane Teri Hatcher to play mom to Erica Durance’s Lois Lane!

I know what you’re thinking: But Lois’ mom, Ella, is dead! Follow along now…

In episode 8, titled “Abandoned,” Lois discovers old videotapes of her mother. I think you can figure the rest out for yourself. Am I right?

As you know, Hatcher spent four years playing Superman’s soul mate on ABC’s The New Adventures of Lois and Clark.

Laura Vandervoort Set to Return to Smallville

Current V extra-terrestrial Laura Vandervoort has inked a deal to reprise her role as Clark’s Kryptonian cuz Kara during Smallville‘s 10th and final season, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Vandervoort—who left the show at the end of season 7 only to return briefly the following fall to wrap up Supergirl’s story—will be back for one episode (tentatively scheduled to air in October).

Smallville and V are both produced by Warner Bros., so it’s safe to say the actress’ comeback was signed off on faster than a speeding bullet.
