I'm off to Austin to visit friends, so have a great weekend! Here's a pic of Adam Lambert and Ke$ha with Max Martin and Dr. Luke, who shared Songwriter Of The Year honors on Wednesday at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards.

Max and Luke won jointly for their work on Katy Perry's "California Gurls" and "Teenage Dream," and also Taio Cruz's "Dynamite." Max was also recognized for Lambert's "Whataya Want From Me" and Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love Again," while Miley Cyrus' "Party In The U.S.A." and Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" factored into Luke's win.

Where The Hell Is David Archuleta's "Crush" On The Upcoming 'American Idol' Greatest Hits LP?

Today the official American Idol site announced that the series would be issuing its first greatest hits album, American Idol 10th Anniversary - The Hits. But the dubious tracklisting seems a bit lackluster, despite the announcement touting the "mega-hit singles" included.

The one good thing the powers that be seem to have done is slap Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" on there first. (Clearly they took a quick glance at Chart Rigger's Top 40 Singles Of The '00s list and saw that it placed at #1).

But, really—where the hell is AI Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta's "Crush," a multi-platinum #2 hit on Billboard's Hot 100 and one of the best songs to ever come out of this televised dog-and-pony act? Or Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee's "Over It," a Top 40 single with ten times more merit than Taylor Hicks' dire "Takin' It To The Streets"?

And while Jordin Sparks' "No Air" was indeed a smash, her duet partner Chris Brown was not an American Idol contestant. Wouldn't it have made more technical sense to include one of her other Top 10 singles, like "Tattoo" or "Battlefield"? Christ, just put on two Jordin Sparks songs and cut Lee DeWyze!

The 10 Best Pop Singles Of 2010

It seems like only yesterday when trusty sidekicks in all things pop Moogaboo and D'luv sat down to sift through 10 years of jams to come up with the Chart Rigger list of the Top 40 Singles Of The '00s—yet here we are already doing our first Best list of the new decade.

Sure, radio let itself get clogged with chum on occasion throughout the past 12 months (see our 10 Worst Singles Of 2010 roundup). But here we're highlighting the songs that didn't make you want to go shoot up a strip mall every time you heard them. As usual, the singles listed need only have reached their peak chart position within 2010, even if they were technically released the year prior.

10. Usher, "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love"

Moogaboo says: "Remember that time Usher went on E! and talked about getting a colonic? Well this year he gave his career a colonic, flushing out the r&b sound people stopped liking and infusing his colon—I mean songbook—with more current, classy dance beats. I loved it, and isn't that all that matters?"
D'luv says: "Thank Christ I have no recollection of that. Poor Usher can't sing this song live to save his life, but hey–welcome to the world of having a Max Martin-produced hit. This driving, out-of-nowhere surprise was a radio life jacket amidst a sea of 'Airplanes' and 'Billionaire' this past summer."

9. Goldfrapp, "Rocket"

D'luv says: "I'm still stunned that the UK treated the Atari-on-the-dancefloor greatness of Head First with all the warmth of Madonna's frozen-over Arctic snatch. Oh, well. The duo got the last laugh by scoring two Grammy nominations."
Moogaboo says: "Goldfrapp were totally having a Flashbeagle moment and I love that it might win a Grammy. 'But I still wanna know/ how she got in the door' is also an adorably bitchy pop lyric."

7. Rihanna, "Only Girl (In The World)"

Moogaboo says: "As far as the current wave of nu-dance goes, only RiRi's really gotten the essence of house music's pulsating, hedonistic abandon. No jerky stops and starts for her, which is what makes 'Only Girl' so irresistible: it's almost menacing in its insistence that you dance."
D'luv says: "God bless RiRi and her tireless work ethic. This jam had its haters from the get-go, but I loved the throbbing hotness from the first listen. Seriously, slap on some good headphones, crank it up and try to tell me that bass at 1:16 doesn't make your soul shake."

6. Kylie Minogue, "Get Outta My Way"

D'luv says: "There seemed to be such a rush of love for Kylie's Aphrodite right out of the gate that it appeared to have dried up by the time second single 'Get Outta My Way' arrived (except on the U.S. dance charts, where dreams—no matter how irrelevant—still come true, kidz). Still, there's no denying this was the giddy standout on an already A+ album."
Moogaboo says: "Kylie's career is getting to the point where there aren't many options left between 'completely spent' and 'desperate', so I love that she managed to do something that sounded somewhat effortless and fun. This was the most-played song of 2010 at chez Moogaboo, so of course that means it had to flop."

5. Hurts, "Wonderful Life"

D'luv says: "If the New Millennium conjured up Lady Gaga as its answer to Madonna, then surely Synth-Pop Land needed a modern-day Pet Shop Boys, too. The drama-soaked beats of 'Wonderful Life' deservedly made Hurts a buzz-y act in 2010, while the Arthur Baker mix only added extra sparkle to the duo's cool factor."
Moogaboo says: "These babes won me over with their stylish sense of drama. If they don't make out with each other next year, I'll be totally over it! But yes, it was all about that Arthur Baker mix with it's rattling polyrhythms and Shannon-derived whipcrack."

D'luv says: "A Danish pop act making an album of songs inspired by late '80s/early '90s Italo house act Black Box (a staple on the stereo D'luv during the teen years)—why, how could it fail? Don't answer that. I effing love this album, and 'DJ' never ceases to make me grin from ear to ear."
Moogaboo says: "Martha Wash is waggin' a sassy finger at Alphabeat from her perch up in heaven! (I know she's still alive, but I bet she has an all-access pass to universes both real and mythological.)"

3. Cee Lo Green, "Fuck You!"

D'luv says: "I liked this song. Then I loved this song. Then I was over this song. Now I kinda love it again. It could have been higher here on our Best list were it not for the sheer novelty factor. Like, can you picture Cee Lo having another solo hit this big (without an expletive in the title) ever again?"
Moogaboo says: "Well, no, I can't. But who can say for sure? Maybe he's the next Kylie! And even though he seems to have scammed this idea from the inimitable Lily Allen, I'll give him points for upping the bile and attaching it to an even funkier faux-Motown beat."

2. Katy Perry, "Teenage Dream"

D'luv says: "And now we get to the song that both perplexes me and fills me with whimsical butterflies to no end. I absolutely, hands-down love 'Teenage Dream' and think it's one of the best pop songs in recent memory. That said, when I think of Katy Perry and her Jesus tits, I wanna wrap both hands around her neck and spare the universe from ever having to hear her low-rent, bottom-of-the-barrel live vocals again. But look—I'm just chalking the quality of this jam up to maestros Dr. Luke and Max Martin. If a real singer (say, Kelly Clarkson) had belted this out, it would have been #1 here."
Moogaboo says: "I agree, Kelly could more convincingly portray the protagonist of 'Teenage Dream'—a forty-something, out-of-shape suburbanite yearning to recreate the exploits of youth with the lanky new paperboy. What a missed opportunity. However, Katy's bubbly personality and bouncy boobsiness still manage to put this one over the top. Pop heaven."

Moogaboo says: "Oh, Robyn—you glittering disco sad-sack. I love your highly effective heartbreak tunes. Truth be told, I never thought you'd top 'With Every Heartbeat', 'Be Mine!' or 'Show Me Love'. Then you go and do it again with this, the perfect soundtrack for shedding tears beneath said strobe light while that hunk you just met in the men's room makes out with some ho across the dancefloor. Go on breaking my heart."

Adam Lambert Faces Police After Paparazzi Attack

The glamtastic American Idol runner-up released his inner beast on a paparazzo who encroached a little too closely on the singer's private time yesterday. "Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach! #howisthisok?" he tweeted. As it happens, it isn't Ok. At least not according to the complaint filed by the shutterbug last night. Per the report, cameraman Victor Eras, 38, informed Miami Beach police that he was the victim of misdemeanor battery, getting "knocked to the ground" during the altercation, and that his backpack, where he claims his expensive camera was housed.

Robyn's 'Body Talk Pt. 2' Becomes Her Highest-Charting Album In The U.S.

Robyn's Body Talk Pt. 2 had a much better debut (#41) on this week's Billboard Top 200 album chart than Pt. 1 did (#97) back in June. Chalk it up to her recent tour here with Kelis—and it's probably a good thing for the upcoming Pt. 3 that she's touring here in the States again in November.

Body Talk Pt. 2 has now become Robyn's highest-charting album in the States, a title that previously belonged to her 1997 debut Robyn Is Here (which peaked at #57, but ultimately went Platinum).

Sadly, Robyn's excellent jam "Hang With Me" was released this week in England and isn't performing as well as "Dancing On My Own" did there (the latter charted at #8 on the UK chart in June). Currently, "Hang With Me" is #92 on UK iTunes.

Over on the Hot 100 singles chart, Katy Perry is #1 for a second week with "Teenage Dream," while Adam Lambert climbs to a new high of #31 with "If I Had You."

Meanwhile, it's a big week for debuts: Selena Gomez & The Scene go in at #35 with "A Year Without Rain," Rihanna cracks the chart at #75 with "Only Girl (In The World)"—but expect it to make a huge leap next week since it went on sale this week at iTunes, where it's currently #1—and Florence + The Machine's "Dog Days Are Over" debuts at #93 (that one will jump up, too, as it's at #6 on iTunes after Flo's MTV VMAs performance).

Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" Is #1, And All Seems Annoyingly Right In The World

We knew this was kind of inevitable, right? Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" has ascended to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her second #1 single over the past few months and her third overall, after "I Kissed A Girl."

And you know what? That song should be #1. I mentioned elsewhere the other day that while Katy herself makes me want to throw myself off a bridge, "Teenage Dream" is an incredibly catchy song that deserves to be a smash.

"Teenage Dream" is now the eighth U.S. chart topper for Max Martin after the following:

But really, folks, all that matters is that Antoine Dodson has a third week on the chart with "Bed Intruder Song," which falls two spots to #94.

Another Chart Milestone For Ke$ha, Antoine Dodson And "Bed Intruder Song"

Ke$ha's "Take It Off," one of my fave jams off her trashy fun Animal, climbs to #10 of Billboard's Hot 100 this week, becoming her fourth straight Top 10 hit off the album. And it's clear now that the New Queen Of Soul truly has become the voice of this generation, her angelic pipes being undeniable to a nation that craves raw talent. Sorry Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey—Ke$ha is The Ultimate True Voice.

This marks five singles now in the Top 10 that either have a Dr. Luke or Max Martin credit (and in the case of "Teenage Dream," "Dynamite" and "California Gurls" it's both). Speaking of which, Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" holds steady at #32 for a second week.

But the ultimate triumph this week is the "Bed Intruder Song" by the Gregory Brothers, Antoine and Kelly Dodson. After initially debuting two weeks ago at #89, the viral Auto-Tuned masterpiece dropped off the chart last week. This week it re-enters at #92.

You know, come to think of it, maybe Antoine Dodson is actually the New Queen Of Soul?

Rihanna Has Been #1 Forever, "Bed Intruder Song" Disappears & Nelly Didn't Cover Cathy Dennis

Folks, first up let's all bow our heads for a moment of silence, as "Bed Intruder Song" dropped out of the Billboard Hot 100 after a lone week on the chart. It was fun while it lasted, Antoine Dodson—hope you went out, rolled deep and had lots of classy sex.

On a far less glamorous note, Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" has now been #1 for six weeks, giving Ri Ri a total of 11 weeks at the top of the Hot 100 this year if you include "Rude Boy." Meanwhile, it was announced this week that she has yet another single ("Only Girl"—out next month) and another album (her fifth) due for release by year's end.

B.o.B's third single "Magic" cracks the Top 10 this week and features Rivers Cuomo. It's the Weezer frontman's second Top 10 hit after his band's "Beverly Hills" climbed to #10 back in 2005.

Coming in just behind them at #12 is Nelly with "Just A Dream." Alas, pop chyldryn, this is sadly not a Cathy Dennis cover with a slightly shortened title.



"Just A Dream" is now the rapper's first Top 20 hit since that horrific trash "Grillz" somehow hit #1 five years ago. (Clink your glass with Rivers, Nelly.)

On a final note, Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" moves up to #32, thereby finally entering the Top 40.

The greatest chart achievement in the history of recorded music has occurred this week, and we're all alive to witness it! That's right—"Bed Intruder Song" (credited to Antoine Dodson & Gregory Brothers featuring Kelly Dodson) has cracked the Billboard Hot 100, entering at #89.



Please, God, let Antoine Dodson win at least six Grammys for this. And MTV, if you want to be real classy, get him to perform at the VMAs next month!

Katy Perry Teenage Dreams Her Way Into The Top 10 Again While Kylie Tops The Dance Chart

I probably should have saved the Max Martin lovefest for this week's chart post, as he (and, of course, Dr. Luke) now have four songs in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100. Jason Derulo's "Ridin' Solo" and Drake's "Find Your Love" drop out, making room for Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" (#9) and Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" (#7).

Other big movers include New Queen Of Soul Ke$ha, whose latest, "Take It Off," flies up 40 positions to #52. You can watch the video for that trash jam here. Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" also begins to make some headway, as it moves up 13 positions to #56.

And way down at the lower end of the chart, Rihanna debuts at #99 with "Rockstar 101." Oh, Ri Ri—you can just stay right there with that slice of ear death.

I totally forgot to mention that "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" entered the Hot 100 at #19 last week—forgive me, I was still blinded by thoughts of Enrique Iglesias losing his pants. (And congrats to him for "I Like It" moving up to #6, thereby breaking the rut of the dreaded #8 that so often plagues pop stars.)

I have to say, hearing "Dynamite," "Teenage Dream" and "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" on the radio on a daily basis just makes me smile. And P.S., Max—I know you're notoriously press-shy, but get some new headshots already! We've all been using the same ones (plus the above frowny pic of you) for half a decade now.

Enrique Iglesias' Pants Still On = Stuck At #8 Again

Let's face it—until Enrique Iglesias gives it up and fulfills that promise to water ski in the buff now that Spain won the World Cup, "I Like It" is never gonna move into the upper reaches of the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. This week the single spends a second week at #8. C'mon, Enrique—drop those pants and make the world scream bailamos already!



Alright, on to the real news. Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" has finally knocked Katy Perry's "California Gurls" off the top of the chart. Both songs are completely saturating radio right now, so it's kind of like choosing between death by firing squad rather than death by having a grenade shoved in your mouth like a ball gag—something Katy Perry is probably really up on.

Further down the Hot 100, Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" inches up to #69. Hey, at least now it's bested the #72 peak of his version of "No Boundaries," right?

Sigh. And as expected, the party couldn't last forever for Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite here in the U.S. without a hit single or some promo appearances to support it. This week the LP drops from its debut position of #19 to #89 on the Top 200 Albums chart.

Enrique Iglesias' "I Like It" Would Go To #1 If He'd Take His Pants Off

Other than yesterday's news that Kylie Minogue racked up her first U.S. Top 20 album in eight years with Aphrodite, it's a pretty snoozy chart week.

Most noteworthy is Enrique Iglesias, whose "I Like It" climbs to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. It's only his fourth single to crack the Top 10 in the U.S., and his highest charting song since 2001, when "Hero" reached #3. I just kind of wish he didn't have to sell his soul to Pitbull and Jersey Shore to do it.

All that said, I liked that song about ping pong a lot better. Why couldn't that have become a big hit here? Enrique's album Euphoria debuted at #10 over on the Top 200 this week.

On the lower end, Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" moves up 12 notches to #73. It's been a month since the music video premiered. Here's hoping the single ends up being a slow burner like "Whataya Want From Me," and eventually climbs to a decent position.

Adam Lambert Roots for Crystal Bowersox to Win American Idol 2010

Although Adam Lambert failed his bid in American Idol last year, he simply can't hide rooting for Crystal Bowersox to win American Idol Season 9. Landing in the American Idol Top 3, Crystal is joined in by Casey James and Lee Dewyze

Although Crystal Bowersox faces formidable challenge over her two male co-contestants, Adam Lambert is confident that she'll rise above the occasion. He said in the KIIS Wango Tango concert that Crystal is "great" and he loves "her anti-establishment attitude". The American Idol 2010 winner will be revealed on May 26.

American Idol: 9 Finalists Manage to Make Elvis Boring With Adam Lambert's Help

Some are saying it was yet one more American Idol Jump the Shark moment for last year's runner up to be mentoring this year's American Idol Final 9, from a stage in Las Vegas.

I don't agree. I thought Adam Lambert gave good advice. However, it seemed he was ignored, for the most part.

In the view in this screencap, Adam Lambert is managing to look like Elvis.

However, the closeup, from the front view, was sort of an un-Elvis look, with way too much makeup, painted fingernails and earrings. I really think Adam Lambert would do himself a favor if he adopted a more natural look.

When Ryan Seacrest said it would be Elvis songs this week, I thought, well, this should be a bit more entertaining than what we've seen so far. I was wrong.

Crystal Bowersox was first up, singing Saved. Another Elvis song I had never heard. I did not care for it, but, of course, the judges gushed.

How can the energy be sucked out of the Elvis classic, You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog? Last night we learned that was totally possible via Andrew Garcia.

Others fared almost as poorly.

Siobhan Magnus really has worn out her welcome with me. She pretty much wreaked havoc with Suspicious Minds.

The guy who got the Judges' Save last week, Michael Lynche, sang In The Ghetto. Dull.

Casey James had the sweet spot, also known as the pimp spot, that being the last to sing. Casey sang Lawdy Miss Clawdy. He didn't suck the life out of it, like was done to Hound Dog, but there sure was not a lot of Elvis-like life apparent.

As far as I know I'd never heard the Elvis song Katie Stevens unmemorably sang, Baby What Do You Want Me to Do. She moved awkwardly around the stage.

Aaron Kelly sang Blue Suede Shoes. And was quite animated while doing so, dancing around the stage, being an Elvis-like performer. Compared to most of the others, it was entertaining. Of course the judges hated it, with Cowell using the tired Karaoke critique.

That leaves Tim Urban and Lee DeWyze.

Turban sang I Can't Help Falling in Love, while sitting and strumming the guitar. I thought he did fine, as did the judges, with Simon Cowell saying Tim had gone from "Zero to Hero." With all the money Cowell makes, he really needs to hire someone to write him some fresh cliches.

And then the best of the night, to my tone-deaf ears, Lee DeWyze, singing A Little Less Conversation. Lee came the closest to Elvis rocking it, or so it seemed to me.

So, two will be sent home tonight. I'm guessing it will be Andrew Garcia and either Katie Stevens, Michael Lynche or Siobhan Magnus.

Adam Lambert Diet-Staying in Shape to Promote Album

Adam Lambert is braving the holiday season with a strict diet. The 27 year old American Idol alumnus says that he's got to stay in shape for him to effectively promote his debut album 'For Your Entertainment Only'. In fact, he proudly declared in an interview with FOX News that: "Fox News, "I'm on such a diet now... I want to stay in great shape so no candy for me."

Although Adam Lambert is not really keen on keeping up with a healthy lifestyle, he concurred that: "Everyone should get out of the mirror, that's not what matters... We are programmed in society to be so hard on ourselves and our appearance."

Earlier, Adam was busy Sunday night, December 20, as he shot a music video for his newest single "Whataya Want From Me". He appears to be very ecstatic about his second single and it features aspiring actress Julianna Milton playing one of his female fans. This video will be in the vantage point of the fans so we'll see if it rakes another controversy. Hope you’ll be able to survive the Christmas feast, though! We know it will be tough resisting that!

Adam Lambert's American Music Award's For Your Entertainment

Lady Gaga's heat started a piano fire on Sunday's American Music Awards show. Adam Lambert did not start a fire during his performance, but there was some smoke as he sang For Your Entertainment from his first album. And he fondled a couple females and himself and kissed either a female or male, I could not determine the gender for certain. I like Adam Lambert, but I am not a big fan of the screaming/shrieking part of his singing style.

YouTube removed the video of Adam Lambert's American Music Award's controversial performance due to Dick Clark Productions claiming copyright violation.

There is no shortage of opinion spewing from the Internet regarding Adam Lambert's closing act of the AMA's. Opinion seems to lean to he made a massive mistake. Some think he destroyed his career before it really began. Others think his act was pure publicity genius.

Me? I think Adam needs someone around him to tell him, no, that is not a good idea. Like Elvis would have been so much better off, and maybe still alive, if he had someone who could tell him, no, Elvis, you are not going to eat that deep-fried peanut butter and banana sandwich.

It's so freaking emperor's new clothes to me. And now I'm reading that the face in the crotch and the make out scene were unplanned, impromptu events? And Adam is on twitter saying his performance was artistic expression. Wow, he's drinking his own koolaid.

Everyone who knows me knows what a huge fan I am of Adam Lambert because I think he's one of the most talented and exciting entertainers to come down the pike in a while BUT my problem with the performance was the vocals. A group of us had made a party of it and waited in great anticipation to see our favorite singer again. To be honest, a few seconds into the song we were stunned into silence - and not in a good way. Where was the confident performer from the Zodiac shows on YouTube with the amazing vocals? What we heard was thin, kind of pitchy, and the looks he gave were scary - not sexy. Especially the wierd cross-eyed look at the end. Not really attractive.

American Idol 8 top dogs Kris Allen and Adam Lambert makes on the latest Billboard magazine cover. The clincher is that, although the 24 year old American Idol winner seems to be highlighted on the cover, more articles are dedicated to his runner up Adam Lambert. In fact, Adam has a special feature there about the squeeze put upon him to be a role model for gay youth. Or his latest gigs he garnered like his song being featured on the movie 2012, working with Lady Gaga and his planned tour.

In his own interview with Billboard, Kris explains that he will find it "fun to write" songs with fellow singer Adele. Although he's still new in the music business, Kris Allen is bent in making it good in this industry. Anyway, I think it's really fine for Kris that Adam is more showcased in this issue. Chace Crawford Hailed as People's Hottest Bachelor

It's a big thing when you dominate today's hottest male celebrities like Chris Pine, Shia LeBeouf, Adam Lambert or even the tween dream Robert Pattinson. Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford just did that by topping the 2009 Hottest Bachelor’s List made by People magazine, which is coming out on Friday June 19. Clearly, Chace Crawford sees it as an honor to be proclaimed as the alpha single male this year (according to People, of course): "to be dubbed as People's Hottest Bachelor of the year... is pretty special" he says.

In the People.com website, they published some excerpts about their interview with the Footloose star - like his first kiss occurred when he was on fifth grade -- it's the twin sister of his best friend! According to Chace too, the ingredients of a perfect date would be "a pool table, beer, an electric jukebox and good conversation". Girls would certainly be surperised that Chace right now is "not looking for a girlfriend". He also revealed that it was "awesome" dating American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.
