Orlando Bloom reprises the Legolas again in The Hobbit

Well, now there's good news, because Peter Jackson has just announced on his Facebook page that 'The Hobbit" isn't going to make the same mistake "Pirates" made, as they are bringing back Bloom to reprise his "Lord of the Rings" role of Legolas the elf.

Here's what director/writer/producer Jackson had to say about the (faux) blonde bombshell that became an international heartthrob a decade ago:

"Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I'm excited to announce today that we'll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn’t! I guess that's why he makes such a wonderful elf."

The only question now, of course, is how much Bloom we can expect to actually see in the film. Probably not a lot, though fitting him in shouldn't be too difficult; after all, Legolas' father, Thranduil (who will be played in the films by "Pushing Daisies" star Lee Pace), has a major role in "The Hobbit's" climactic Battle of the Five Armies.

We'd tell you how excited we are about this announcement, but frankly, we're too busy cheering and drooling simultaneously, because this means we could finally see Legolas nock his bow one more time.

Miranda Kerr has revealed that she refused to let Orlando Bloom leave her side when she was in labour.
The Victoria's Secret model, who gave birth to the couple's son, Flynn in January, said that her actor husband even had to "pee in a bottle" because she didn't want to face childbirth without him.

She told Conan O'Brien on his chatshow: "I wouldn't even let him leave during it. He had to pee in a bottle. He stayed there the whole time, he is a wonderful father and I am really blessed."

She also told Fox 5 Morning News: "[Flynn is] the best thing that ever happened to me. He's the light of my life, it's just incredible. [Orlando is an] incredibly hands on father."

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom published a picture of their baby on Tuesday, the first time that the celebrity couple have shown their child to the public, Usmagazine said.

Kerr, who gave birth to her first child with husband Bloom on January 6, described her little bundle of joy as “a very healthy and big boy.” The Australian Victoria’s Secret model is shown in the picture breastfeeding the baby, who the couple named Flynn Bloom.

Kerr also revealed that she gave birth to Flynn, who was born weighing 9lbs and 12 ounces, the natural way. “I gave birth to him naturally; without drugs or painkillers and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it,” Kerr said in her message to fans posted on Kora Organics.com.

Kerr, 27, also thanked her “Pirates of the Caribbean” husband for helping her through the pregnancy. “I could not have done it without him. We are so happy and are enjoying our time together as a family.”

Miranda and Orlando, the 33-year-old actor, began dating in October 2007. The couple announced their engagement in June, then quietly married in July.

“She's definitely pregnant... Miranda's thrilled. She's telling all her friends, mostly other models, about it," a friend of Kerr told US Weekly.

Emmm…It will be very hard for the low-key people to conceal the big news this time. “She poses in lingerie. It will be obvious soon enough." the source added.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr Secretly Married

After announcing that they were engaged last month, representatives for both Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are now confirming that the couple already got married.

Bloom, 33, and Kerr, 27, have been together for three years.

The announcement came after Kerr made a statement on why she was canceling an appearance at the Australian department store David Jones. She said, “David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together. I’m very much a part of the David Jones Family and I am very committed to my role. I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life.”

Bloom is a British actor who starred in both successful film franchises, The Lord of the Rings and The Pirates of the Caribbean. Meanwhile, Kerr is a model from Australia. She is the first Aussie to participate in the Victoria’s Secret Angel.

There is still no information on when and where they have tied the knot. Kerr is also denying that she is pregnant.

Orlando Bloom Receives Honorary Degree From the University of Kent

Orlando Bloom, 33, the Pirates of the Caribbean star, received an honorary degree from the University of Kent on Tuesday.

Orlando Bloom was awarded among over 340 graduates at Canterbury Cathedral in his home town. His model girlfriend Miranda Kerr, parents and sister all joined him for the ceremony.

“It's a really big deal. It's an exciting day for me. I'm really honored to be back in my home town. I have so many amazing memories of the cathedral and Canterbury. I have lived near the university so it's like my playground. It's a huge, huge honor and I feel chuffed, as does my mother - nobody more than my mother,” Orlando said proudly.

This was the first graduation ceremony for Orlando. The actor missed out his graduation at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama because of filming Lord of the Rings.
