Rihanna had a brief encounter with an overzealous fan recently.
The S&M star was performing at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York for The Today Show. As she was passing by throngs of screaming fans while walking towards the stage, one of them reached out and grabbed the 23-year-old.
Her dancers, who were by her side when it happened, sprang into action in no time, pulling Rihanna free from the fan.
It’s good to know that she has recovered from it in no time.
On Twitter, a fan asked her about it: “Rih I NEED to know what you were thinking when that guy grabbed you today!”
The singer replied with a good-humoured tweet: “sumn like “THIS muhfu*ka better not f*ck up my weave” #okaaaayyy.”

Orlando Bloom reprises the Legolas again in The Hobbit

Well, now there's good news, because Peter Jackson has just announced on his Facebook page that 'The Hobbit" isn't going to make the same mistake "Pirates" made, as they are bringing back Bloom to reprise his "Lord of the Rings" role of Legolas the elf.

Here's what director/writer/producer Jackson had to say about the (faux) blonde bombshell that became an international heartthrob a decade ago:

"Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I'm excited to announce today that we'll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn’t! I guess that's why he makes such a wonderful elf."

The only question now, of course, is how much Bloom we can expect to actually see in the film. Probably not a lot, though fitting him in shouldn't be too difficult; after all, Legolas' father, Thranduil (who will be played in the films by "Pushing Daisies" star Lee Pace), has a major role in "The Hobbit's" climactic Battle of the Five Armies.

We'd tell you how excited we are about this announcement, but frankly, we're too busy cheering and drooling simultaneously, because this means we could finally see Legolas nock his bow one more time.

Jeff Conaway Dies at Age 60

Jeff Conaway, the long-troubled actor from Grease and TV's Taxi who waged a public battle with cocaine, painkillers and alcohol, died Friday at age 60. The Celebrity Rehab alum had been in a medically induced coma in critical condition after he was found unconscious earlier this month. "Our beloved client Jeff Conaway passed away at 10:30 a.m.," his manager, Phil Brock, Tweeted. "We loved him as a person, respected him as an artist and he will be always remembered."Dr. Drew Pinsky, who had seen Conaway during the recent hospitalization, said the actor had suffered pneumonia and the effects of too much prescription medication.

Lindsay Lohan Turns Herself in for House Arrest

Lindsay Lohan, 24, began serving house arrest Thursday morning at her Venice, Calif., townhouse after turning herself in to the Lynwood Jail hours earlier. "She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times," L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells People. Whitmore adds that Lohan surrendered to the facility at 5:02 a.m., where it was determined she was eligible for home confinement. The actress was fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet and released in less than an hour. No booking photo was taken.

Estella Warren arrested in LA

"Planet of the Apes" actress and former model Estella Warren was arrested after a late-night crash that led to her allegedly assaulting a police officer then trying to flee from custody, officials said Tuesday.
Warren was driving down Harper Avenue near West Hollywood when she crashed into three parked cars, Los Angeles police Officer Sarah Faden said.
Someone heard the noise of the crashes and came to see what was going on. That person called police then pursued Warren when it was clear she wasn't going to stop and leave her information, Faden said.
The person then forced Warren to stop, though it was unclear how. Police arrived and arrested Warren on suspicion of driving under the influence, but she assaulted one of the officers, Faden said. The 32-year-old actress was then immediately re-arrested for felony battery on an officer.
Police took Warren to Wilshire station, where she was detained in a holding room. Exactly how she managed it was unclear, but Faden said Warren slipped out her handcuffs then burst through a door to the police station and briefly escaped. She was immediately recaptured and booked on a felony escape charge.
Warren was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
A call to Warren's manager was not immediately returned.
