A 22-year-old Marine who had come to New York for Fleet Weekdied early Thursday after he was struck by a car while crossing the West Side Highway.The Marine, whom the police have not yet identified, was returning to the amphibious assault ship Iwo Jima about 1 a.m., the police said.
