The highly anticipated video for Katy Perry's latest single, "E.T.," featuring Kanye West

The highly anticipated video for Katy Perry's latest single, "E.T.," featuring Kanye West, just premiered online and you can watch it right here!

MTV.com, VH1.com and LogoTV.com premiered the video online and later today MTV will exclusively debut the video with an exclusive intro from Katy on TV at 7:53pm (EST).

Immediately after the TV premiere, an MTV.com live stream featuring the network's news correspondent Sway will air, featuring an exclusive chat with Katy and an interview with "E.T." director Floria Sigismondi. Sway will also check in with Katy's fans to gauge their reactions to the new clip.

With "E.T." Katy joins an exclusive club: she's the first female artist to have four number-one hits from the same album since Mariah Carey's 1990 debut. Her album, "Teenage Dream," is also only the ninth album to feature four number-one hits.

India is on track to become the world’s most populous country

after it added another 181 million people over the last decade based on the latest census.

Although its present population growth rate of 17.6 percent is down from the previous census’s 21.5 percent, the South Asian power could overcome its Eastern counterpart in the next 20 years. India now has an estimated 1.21 billion people, while China, which has been pro-active in its population control, has 1.34 billion as of last year. According to United Nations projections, India could overtake China by 2030. The latest census result, released on Thursday, is not yet official, with the final tally expected to come out next year, according to the Daily Mail.

India is the world’s 11th largest economy by GDP based on the International Monetary Fund’s 2010 list, while China is ranked second only to the United States. However, despite economic success, the two countries, India in particular, are also known for their high poverty incidence. The census result for India could mean headache for policy makers, who are hard-pressed to reduce poverty incidence in the country, where some 800 million people are considered poor.

Top Chef All Stars: Richard Blais is Top Chef

I liked the change to the Top Chef finale format, having it between two instead of three.

I thought Wednesday night's Top Chef finale was the best in Top Chef history.

The judges judged that the food coming from the Richard Blais kitchen and the Mike Isabella kitchen was the best in Top Chef history.

I liked how all the Top Chef's from the All Star season were brought to the Bahamas for the finale.

The Quickfire where the returned chefs had to make an amuse bouche, with Isabella and Blais then picking their 3 favorites, with the makers of those favorites being their sous chefs for the final Elimination Challenge, was a clever way to pick the sous chefs.

When Isabella and Blais discussed who they did not want helping, Isabella said he did not want Jamie. So, of course Isabella picked Jamie's amuse bouche.

But that worked out fine. In the end, Isabella was happy with Jamie's help.

Isabella's other sous chefs were Carla and Tiffini, while Blais got Spike, Angelo and Antonia.

The finale challenge was sort of like Restaurant Wars on steroids. Mike and Richard had an hour to prepare a menu and 5 hours to cook. And they also had to make the restaurant of their dreams.

The Richard Blais restaurant was named "Tongue in Cheek," while Isabella's was something like "Iz's."

All the judges were impressed with all the food. Making it very hard to pick a winner.

In the end they picked Richard Blais to be Top Chef.

All the other chefs got to watch the final judgment, along with Mike Isabella's wife and mother. Richard's wife was about to have a baby, so an uncle was his relative in the room.

When they were in the Stew Room, Richard told Mike that if he won the $200,000 he'd give Mike money so he could start his restaurant too.

I doubt either of these two will have a problem getting financing for a restaurant. Richard already has a company called TrailBlais and a modern hamburger joint called "Flip."

Starting last December Richard has been hosting a show on The Science Channel called Blais Off, in which he uses his scientific cooking methods to re-invent classic foods.

I was sort of surprised to learn that Mike Isabella had a wife and had reproduced. You could sort of tell he may have gotten his good looks from his mother.

I've yet to watch the Watch What Happens Live show to see who won fan favorite. My guess is Antonia. Or Carla.

Katy Perry's "E.T." Video Is Pretty Awesome

I've had my misgivings with Katy Perry and her seeming lack of sincerity with her whipped-cream-tits career in the past, but with the visually-stunning video for her single "E.T."—which is #1 on the Hot 100 this week—the teenage dreamer appears to have finally given in to the idea of making some classy art for once!

I will say one last time that Kanye West is so unnecessary on "E.T." (he does not feature on the original album version). Still, director Floria Sigismondi does a good job of relegating him to the background.

Anyway, there's something altogether creepy about Katy here, particularly the scene where she's floating toward the fallen robot and her head lurches forward. Then there's the bit where she kisses the robot, her deer legs are revealed and the alien boy's butt is shown.

Pretty rad video for one of the standout songs from Teenage Dream.

I imagine there will be numerous comparison's to Lady Gaga's equally-spacey "Born This Way" video. But I'm Team Katy in this case. "E.T." is far more colorful, and much less depressing.

U.S. Chart Roundup: Katy Perry Has Had More #1 Singles Now Than Britney Spears

Katy Perry's "E.T." jumps to #1 on the Hot 100 this week, thus becoming her fourth consecutive chart-topping single off Teenage Dream, and fifth song to reach the peak on the chart overall. (Yes, folks, Katy Perry has had more #1s than Lady Gaga. And Pink. And Britney Spears.)

"E.T." also gives Swedish songwriter/producer Max Martin an 11th chart-topping hit in the U.S., and his first since Weaveney's "Hold It Against Me" debuted at #1 in January. Katy's latest addictive slice of trash was co-produced by Dr. Luke and Ammo, and one can't help but wonder if Max and Luke have reached the point of complete over-saturation in the pop market at this point? You really can't throw a wadded up gum wrapper at the chart without hitting a "Raise Your Glass" here, a "Dynamite" there or a "Price Tag" up Jessie J's thong.

Oh, well, speaking of Wigney, Dr. Luke and Max Martin, "Till The World Ends" makes a slight rebound and moves up one position to #22 in its third week on the Hot 100. And outside the Top 40, soul legend Rebecca Black climbs from #72 to #58 with her instant funk classic "Friday."

Over on the Top 200 album chart, Duran Duran's All You Need Is Now re-enters at #29 after the release of the physical CD, and marks the British band's highest-charting album since Astronaut reached #17 in 2004.

A bit further down, Ke$ha's I Am The Dance Commander + I Command You To Dance: The Remix Album sticks a dollar bill between its teeth, bends over and debuts at #36.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "E.T." - Katy Perry feat. Kanye West *1 week*
2. "S&M" - Rihanna
3. "Fuck You" - Cee Lo Green
4. "Born This Way" - Lady Gaga
5. "Just Can't Get Enough" - The Black Eyed Peas
6. "No Sleep" - Wiz Khalifa *new*
7. "Look At Me Now" - Chris Brown feat. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes
8. "Fuckin' Perfect" - Pink
9. "Down On Me" - Jeremih feat. 50 Cent
10. "On The Floor" - Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull

Mad Meen Coming Soon this 2012

“Mad Men” is coming back for another season, albeit later than usual due to still unresolved issues between series creator and producer Matthew Weiner and cable network AMC.

AMC released a statement on Tuesday, confirming that it has approved production of the fifth season of the Emmy Award-winning cable drama series, which the network hopes to start airing in early 2012. “AMC has officially authorized production of season 5 of Mad Men, triggering our option with Lionsgate. While we are getting a later start than in years past due to ongoing, key non-cast negotiations, Mad Men will be back for a fifth season in early 2012,” the cable network said in the statement.

According to Deadline.com, the main road blocks in the negotiation are the changes to the show that AMC wants incorporated beginning the 5th season. It is believed that AMC wants product placement and more commercials, which essentially means cutting the show’s running time by about two minutes per episode.

A licensed medical marijuana dealer in the U.S. is helping raise money for relief efforts in Japan

A licensed medical marijuana dealer in the U.S. is helping raise money for relief efforts in Japan. According to Shaun Gindi, owner of Compassionate Pain Management in Colorado, he will donate 100 percent of the profit from his marijuana joints to earthquake and tsunami victims in the East Asian country.

From CNN.com:

He floated the idea of raising money for Japan on his dispensary’s Facebook page and got a dozen “likes” right away. He knew immediately that he could use his dispensary to raise money. Thus was born “Joints for Japan.”

“What we’re going to do is take all the revenue from the hand-rolled medicine, 100% of it, from this weekend and potentially for the next few weeks … and we’re going to donate it to the Red Cross,” Gindi said.

“Hand-rolled medicine” is medical marijuana-speak for a joint, or a marijuana cigarette. They contain half of a gram of marijuana and are the most popular item in the store. At $5 each, Gindi says, they sell thousands a month.

Gindi hopes his fundraising efforts help bring a bit more respectability to the medical marijuana industry. But ultimately, it is the people of Japan he truly hopes to help.

“In Japan every day, the number of lives lost jumps up. Whatever we can do to help out, we’d like to do.”

More info about the Compassionate Pain Management and how Colorado residents can qualify to purchase medical cannabis can be found on the dispensary’s official website.

Amazon has beaten Google and Apple in the race to produce a cloud-based music

Amazon has beaten Google and Apple in the race to produce a cloud-based music player with the launch of its aptly named Cloud Player, which allows users to play their mp3s anywhere and anytime.

The Cloud Player gives users the option to save music they buy via the Amazon MP3 Store on the company’s Cloud Drive. Users may also upload music saved on their hard drives. The Cloud Player is available both as a Web browser-based and an Android-based app. Users can also create playlists, organize their collections, and download music to their hard drives.

Storing music on the Cloud Drive is free up to 5GB for all Amazon customers with valid billing address in the U.S. An album purchase through the Amazon MP3 Store increases the storage capacity to 20GB. Users can buy additional storage at $1 per GB if they want to go beyond 20GB.

The Cloud Player’s launch comes amid reported efforts by Google and Apple to come up with their own cloud-based music app.

Jackie Chan: I'm Alive. Honest!

The Hong Kong action legend is dispelling an Internet-fueled rumor that, after years thrilling audiences with amazing martial arts feats and death-defying stunts, he had succumbed to a bum ticker at the age of 56.

"Jackie Chan is alive and well," reads a note posted on Chan's Facebook page. "He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports."

To prove it, Chan also posted a picture on his Facebook page and official website showing him meeting with Japan's consul-general in Hong Kong to discuss the details of "Love Without Borders 3/11 Candlelight Gala." It's a hometown event he's helping organize set for April 1 featuring over 100 performers which will raise money for victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami.

TV5 suspends participation of minors

TV5 on Wednesday, March 30, announced that it will impose a moratorium on the participation of minors in all of the network's contests and game shows.
The suspension was the network's reaction to an ongoing probe of the Commission on Human Rights and the Movies and Television Review and Classification Board and a complaint from the Department of Social Welfare and Development on the alleged maltreatment of a six-year-old contestant in the early evening program "Willing Willie."

In an advisory sent to Yahoo! OMG! Philippines, TV5 also indicated it was "conducting a thorough investigation on the incident." The network also said it has enforced "stricter guidelines on the appearance and performance of minors, particularly children, on all TV5 programs. In addition, it said all auditions on "Willing Willie" will "be supervised by TV5 representatives designated by the TV5 Ombudsman."

The advisory said TV5 Chief Legal Counsel Christine Ona has been designated as the network's Ombudsman. Ona is tasked to handle viewer complaints regarding its programs.

Furthermore, TV5 said it welcomes external probes on the matter.

"We welcome the hearings of the MTRCB and other bodies as opportunities to further thresh out the issues and find solutions that will address the many concerns that have been expressed," the statement said.

Aga Muhlach signed up with TV5 today, March 30, to be the newest Kapatid.

The veteran actor and matinee idol signed a three-year non-exclusive contract with TV5. He is slated to do three major projects with the network including a hosting stint for the local franchise of a very popular reality show.

Present at his contract signing were (right) TV5 President and CEO Atty. Ray C. Espinosa and (left) Executive Vice President and COO Roberto V. Barreiro.

Rumor has it that the said reality program that Aga is about to host is the Philippine edition of the Emmy award-winning “The Amazing Race.” However, the Kapatid network is still in the process of getting the rights for the said reality show.

NASA released the first picture taken of Mercury's surface by the US space agency's orbiting Messenger craft

WASHINGTON (AFP) – NASA released the first picture taken of Mercury's surface by the US space agency's orbiting Messenger craft.

"Early this morning, at 5:20 am EDT (0920 GMT), Messenger captured this historic image of Mercury," NASA said.

"This image is the first ever obtained from a spacecraft in orbit about the solar system's innermost planet."

The spacecraft snapped 363 images over the next six hours, and more were expected to be released Wednesday in conjunction with an expert press conference to discuss the findings.

The upper part of the image shows an unusual, dark-rayed crater called Debussy, while the lower part reveals a portion of Mercury near its south pole that has never before been witnessed by spacecraft, NASA said.

NASA's Messenger craft -- which stands for MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry, and Ranging -- became the first vehicle to orbit Mercury on March 17.

Messenger was launched more than six years ago, traveling through the inner solar system and embarking on flybys of Earth, Venus and Mercury.

The first NASA craft to study Mercury since the Mariner mission more than three decades ago, Messenger has already been able to return a partial map of the planet's crater-filled surface after just a handful of flybys.

Relive The Highs, Lows And Total WTFs Of Britney Spears' Bumpy Past Week

In just one week, Britney Spears has drawn a line in the proverbial pop sand and divided her followers—all by being just, well, Britney Spears. After a period of seclusion over the past two months, this broad was suddenly all over the place.

Let's recap:

1. On Friday, Wigney performed at Rain nightclub in the Palms resort in Las Vegas. Lip syncing, lazy dancing, lack of on-stage banter with audience? Check, check, check!

2. Two days later the Weaved One hauled her big fat bass to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco (rain caused her to head indoors and protect her wig, rather than go forward with a planned outdoor gig in The Castro). Same set as Vegas.

3. Rugney's seventh studio album (and best, most cohesive so far) Femme Fatale hit U.S. iTunes at midnight on Monday night, and by morning overtook Songs For Japan as the top download.

4. Mimeney's San Fran performance aired Tuesday on Good Morning America, during which she told host Robin Roberts she'd be heading out on a North American tour with Enrique Iglesias this summer. Haters and fans alike called the entire half-assed appearance a career low.

5. Oopsney! Hours later, news came that Enrique had pulled out of the joint tour. Word on the street was that the Latin heartthrob felt he wouldn't be getting enough cash/equal billing. And just why would she need him anyway? Didn't the Circus Tour rake it in two years ago? Has Lethargicney really become so lazy that she needs someone else to entertain her audience?

6. Next the world was thrown into utter chaos when Rivalney was tweeted at in a well-meaning manner by Christina Aguilera: "Hey @BritneySpears Congrats on Femme Fatale release! Can't wait to see what you bring in the next video. xo" [Careful, Wigwamney—that ho probably wants to borrow money or a yacht or something.]

7. Tweetney later wrote back to Xtina: "Thanks @TheRealXtina. Can't wait to watch you on your new show. Hope we get to hear that voice on The Voice." [I'm chalking that up as a slam!]

8. Tuesday night, ABCney did a funny skit with the dorks from Jackass on Jimmy Kimmel Live, wherein she gets bungie-launced into the air while inside a port-o-potty. She also did a half-funny skit with Kimmel. Redemption for GMA!

9. More chaos! Did Braveney actually flip her mic on while singing "Hold It Against Me" for the  Kimmel crowd?

10. On Wednesday afternoon, Hits Daily Double projected that Femme Fatale will indeed become Cashney's sixth #1 album next week, after guesstimated sales of about 275,000 to 300,000 copies. That's a far cry from the 505,000 Spears' last LP Circus sold out of the gate, and more on par with the first-week numbers Blackout—her only album to not reach #1—did in fall 2007. (Of course, the damn thing did leak two-and-a-half weeks early.) We shall wait and see.

Anyway, here's "Scary," a Fraser T. Smith-produced bonus track on the Japanese version of Femme Fatale that clearly should have been on the album proper:

Is the Top Chef All Stars Winner Richard Blais or Mike Isabella?

Tonight is the Top Chef All Stars finale, I think, where we learn if it is Richard Blais or Mike Isabella who wins Top Chef All Stars.

I'm okay with either winning. Yes, Mike Isabella has an annoying personality. But, the more exposure I got to that annoying personality, the less I found him annoying.

I was disappointed that Antonia lost the one bite challenge against her new found Isabella cousin and that it was not she, rather than Isabella who was in the final two with Blais.

One thing about Mike Isabella that you can not deny. He has improved on his cooking from when we first met him. And he came prepared to cook Caribbean food in the Bahamas.

I've seldom seen a guy who is so hard on himself as Richard Blais. He is so good at cooking you'd think he'd be real confident about it. Maybe it's the constant self-doubting that makes him so good.

There was a little buzz on the Internet that former Top Chef winner, Hosea, was going to be real happy if Mike Isabella wins, because, supposedly, this would have Isabella replacing Hosea as the most undeserving winner.

Methinks not.

Earlier in the Top Chef All Stars season, when there was speculation that Mike  Isabella wins, I opined that this would be a travesty worse that when that awful Mike "Boogie" Malin person, who was definitely not a Big Brother All Star, won Big Brother All Stars. This was an absurdity so offputting that I've never watched another episode of Big Brother.

That will not be my reaction if Mike Isabella wins Top Chef All Stars tonight. But, I hope Richard Blais wins.

Jennifer Lopez's New Single "I'm Into You" Doesn't Exactly Suck, Either

First Jennifer Lopez's surprise comeback hit "On The Floor" didn't suck (though, don't get me started on the video). And then that "Invading My Mind" song Lady Gaga and RedOne generously worked on together for the American Idol judge showed even more promise with regards to J.Lo's upcoming Love? album.

And now we have "I'm Into You," which, despite the lyrically uninspired rap from Lil Wayne, somehow doesn't exactly make me want to force a rusty railroad tie into the front of my skull either.

Below is the official 30-second tease of the song. I'd post the full thing, but it's been getting yanked down left and right all day.

"I'm Into You" will be tossed onto iTunes next week (April 5). A press release issued today notes that Love? (out May 3) features production work by RedOne, Stargate, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Danja, D-Mile and Radio.

In addition to "Invading My Mind, Lady Gaga co-wrote the song "Hypnotico" for the album.

Robyn Covers The Music Issue Of 'Elle'

Nice to see Robyn getting some decent exposure! The Swede-pop pixie, who topped Chart Rigger's year-end 10 Best Pop Singles lists in both 2007 and 2010 graces the cover of fashion mag Elle's upcoming "music issue," which will also highlight Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Willow Smith and Florence Welch, among others, inside.

The music edition of Elle hits newsstands on April 11.

Chris Brown Performed on Dancing With the Stars (Video)

Chris Brown showed off his dance moves on Dancing with the Stars last night.

The 21-year-old singer, whose latest album F.A.M.E. debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts this past week, performed his songs “Forever”/”Beautiful People” and “Yeah 3X” on the show.

“I wanna thank all of my fans for making my album number 1 in the country!! I love you! We did it. I live for my music!! I survive for my fans!!!” He tweeted.

Check out the video for his performance on DWTS below:

Dancing With The Stars: Mike Catherwood First to Leave the Ballroom

With the lowest scores last week and Monday night, it was not a shocking surprise that Mike Catherwood was asked to leave the tribal council area immediately, I mean, leave the ballroom on Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars.

I had never heard of the "star" Mike Catherwood before he became a "star" on Dancing with the Stars.

Mike Catherwood is a "star" because he is a radio personality on a radio station with the call letters, KROQ. He is also on something called "Loveline" which he co-hosts with Celebrity Re-hab's Dr. Drew.

Dr. Drew was in the audience watching his co-host get low scores Monday night.

Mike Catherwood seemed to be an amusing guy. He took losing his chance to go home with the glittering disco ball trophy with good humor, saying something like he was honored to be in the Elite Loser's Club along with Kenny Mayne, Jeffrey Ross and the Hoff.

Mike Catherwood heaped praise upon his pro partner, Lacey Schwimmer, who also lost her chance to take the glittering disco ball trophy home for the first time.

My favorites, so far, are definitely Kirstie Alley. Plus the Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio. I did not know that Ralph Macchio had reproduced. His son looked to be about the age Ralph was when he was the Karate Kid. The kid's name was Daniel. Wasn't that also the Karate Kid's name?
