Last night, 12 guys and 12 girls are declared to be in the official American Idol 9 Top 24 list. Next week, the Top 12 girls will battle it out first on Wednesday (February 24) in the Kodak Theatre. On Thursday (February 25) will be the Top 12 boys' turn. I think it will all be the same drivel in other American Idol seasons that each week, two guys and two girls will bid farewell until the American Idol 9 Top 12 contestants are chosen.
This year's batch of contestants are an interesting mix. We'll still yet to see if Mike Lynch won't be disqualified, but it seems Tim Urban is here to stay in lieu of Chris Golightly who allegedly had an old contract that's why he was kicked off the final 24 contestants.
