The 24-year-old actress announced on Saturday through Twitter that she is taking back her retirement. “I’ve unretired,” she said before promoting her soon-to-be-released film, “Easy A,” which is set for a September 17 debut. “Easy A” is a comedy directed by Will Gluck and stars, aside from Bynes, Lisa Kudrow, Thomas Haden Church, Emma Stone, and Patricia Clarkson, among others.
Bynes’ “unretirement” comes only about a month since she declared that she is retiring because “being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem.” “If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it,” she said then. Prior to her short-lived retirement, Bynes had not appeared in a movie since 2007′s “Hairspray” and “Sydney White.” Bynes was considered one of the most promising actresses of her time after scoring hits in television through “All That” and later “The Amanda Show.”
