Duke Nukem Forever Release Date Announced

Duke Nukem‘s much-awaited return is finally happening after 2K Games and Gearbox Software announced that “Duke Nukem Forever” will hit stores in the United States in May.

According to the International Business Times, “Duke Nukem Forever,” the long-delayed sequel to 1996′s “Duke Nukem 3D,” will be available to fans starting May 3 in the U.S. and May 6 the rest of the world. The first-person shooter game has been in development since 1997 and its release been delayed several times due to a variety of problems that included the folding of original developer 3D Realms in 2009.

2K Games head Christoph Hartmann said Duke Nukem’s return will be epic. “The moment fans all over the world have been waiting for is almost here … His return is going to be epic and one that will make video gaming history!” Hartmann said.

Wired.com also posted on its website the “Duke Nukem Forever” trailer released by 2K.
