Lady Gaga topped “Forbes” magazine’s annual Celebrity 100 List

Oprah Winfrey has finally found her match.

Lady Gaga topped “Forbes” magazine’s annual Celebrity 100 List, dropping Oprah Winfrey from the position she has held for more than four years over the past seven years. According to Forbes, Gaga rose to the top not entirely for her $90 million in earnings over the past 12 months, but also, if not more so, for her massive following on Facebook and Twitter. Gaga’s 32 million and 10 million Little Monsters on Facebook and Twitter, respectively, helped the eccentric singer/songwriter sell records and products she endorses. Gaga is the endorser of MAC makeup and Virgin Mobile phones, among others.

As for Oprah, her drop does not mean that she became less influential, it just happened that Gaga was everywhere over the past year. Oprah’s annual earning dropped $25 million, but the day-time talk show queen still earned a whopping $290 million. Debuting at the third spot was 17-year-old Justin Bieber, who earned $53 million. Rock band U2 grabbed fourth spot, while Elton John rounded out the top five.

Lady Gaga Advises Scotty McCreery To Treat His Microphone Like His Girl Friend While James Durbin Leaves American Idol

Google's Blogger has been in major malfunction mode, which prevented me from blogging.

So, I am 2 days past Lady Gaga's interesting appearance on this week's American Idol.

I found all Lady Gaga's mentoring to be amusing, with the most amusing being the mentoring done to 17 year old Scotty McCreery.

Telling the kid to treat his microphone like his girl friend, to make sweet love to it. I forget what else.

And then Lady Gaga stood up and walked over to Scotty. The shorts Lady Gaga was wearing were very interesting. Actually, I could not tell for sure if she was wearing any shorts.

Scotty's reactions were funny, as were his comments, post-Gaga.

Lady Gaga seemed to be giving good advice. I thought all did well. I was surprised that it was James Durbin who got the tearful boot on Thursday and not Haley Reinhart or Lauren Alaina.

I am sort of disappointed we won't be seeing a James Durbin hometown visit. It likely would have been very interesting. With a lot of tears jerked.

I've read in the past couple days that Lady Gaga wants to be on Glee. A Lady Gaga appearance on Glee would likely be highly amusing.

Lady Gaga to mentor 'American Idol' Top 4 contestants

Expect a surge in the Top 4′s performance level next week: Fox has confirmed to EW that Lady Gaga is set to appear on American Idol as a mentor for our remaining finalists. And before you scoff at the idea of a 25-year-old handing out career advice, remember that Miley Cyrus served as a mentor on the show last year, at the ripe age of 17 years old. And it’s not like Gaga doesn’t have anything to offer — some of our contestants (ahem, Lauren!) still have plenty to learn when it comes to truly performing to a crowd.

In North Texas Weather Interrupted the Glee Lady Gaga Born This Way 90 Minute Special

Pet Peeve.

Idiotic interruptions of scheduled network TV shows to tell viewers bad weather is happening somewhere in the area a particular station covers.

Interrupting when something serious happens, that I'm okay with.

Terrorists attack America, break in with live coverage. Slovenia launches a nuclear attack on Non-Slovenia, break in with live coverage. Lee Harvey Oswald shoots JFK, break in with live coverage. Osama bin Laden captured, break in with live coverage. Hitler found alive in Argentina, break in with live coverage.

But what happened Tuesday night on KDFW FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth was brain dead moronic.

GLEE is one of my few guilty pleasures. Tuesday was a highly touted 90 minute Lady Gaga "Born This Way" special.

My DVR was set to record GLEE. I did not try to watch it til at least an hour had been recorded.

When I went to watch I was appalled to find that the first half hour.

Or more.

Was devoted to breathless, non-stop, weather information. Including live images of pea-sized hail falling.

Yes, we had a bad storm roll through North and East Texas on Tuesday night.

Power was knocked out for thousands of people. A tornado damaged a lot of homes. The very people who might have found weather info useful, no longer had TV access.

If one knows the weather is turning inclement one has many info options. If one chooses to turn on ones TV to watch a scheduled program one should not have that choice interrupted by useless weather information that is totally pointless and about which one can do nothing.

It works perfectly well to put weather info in a crawl across the bottom of the screen, or in the lower right or left. There is no need to break in to regular programming so a TV Weatherman can have fun being all dramatic about the weather.

What I did get to see of GLEE was very amusing. But my recording ran out before I learned if Rachel went ahead with her nose job. And I did not get to see the "Born This Way" production.

Sunday night we also had some storm action in North Texas. The local CBS affiliate did not mess with The Amazing Race. CBS kept viewers informed about possible tornado and hail and lightning action via the non-obtrusive means I've already mentioned. I have no idea how CBS handled last night's storm. I suspect way smarter than FOX did. Or the local ABC affiliate did with its embarrassing Pete Delkus Weather Drama Queen.

No weather drama is on the schedule for tonight for North Texas. So, I suspect the local FOX affiliate will let American Idol run uninterrupted.

Lady Gaga's tearful confession

Lady Gaga has tearfully confessed on film that she thinks "people are trying to destroy her".

The 25-year-old singer broke down in a documentary extract posted online and spoke of how much she fears criticism, admitting she feels like a "loser kid in high school."

In the black and white YouTube clip, posted before she went on stage in New York's Madison Square Garden for her Monster Ball tour, she sobbed: "I still sometimes feel like a loser. It's crazy, 'cos it's like we're at the Garden, but I still feel like a loser kid in high school.

"Sometimes I still feel like people are trying to destroy me... I cannot be destroyed and I will not be destroyed. And you will never destroy the kingdom that is my fans."

The outlandish Judas hitmaker - who was recently criticised on micro-blogging website twitter for the bizarre artwork of her new album 'Born This Way' which depicts her morphing into a mutant motorcycle - went on to say she feels like she has to "fight" to remain a "superstar" for the sake of her young fans.

She said: "I just have to pick my s*** up. Pick myself up and tell myself I'm a superstar every morning just so I can get through this day.

"I feel like I have to fight. I'm fighting for every kid that's like me, that's felt like I've felt and feels like I still feel."

She added: "I just wanna be a queen but sometimes I just don't feel like one. It's not about being a winner for me anymore, you know. It's about being a winner for them."

Lady Gaga Falls Off Piano

Lady Gaga proved once again that she is a true professional as the 25-year-old singer-songwriter went on to finish a number even after she fell off her piano during a concert earlier this week.

Gaga was in the middle of her performance of the song “You and I” during a concert in Houston and was straddling between her piano and piano seat when she lost her footing. The “Born This Way” singer came crashing down to the floor, hitting her buttocks and head as she went down. The crashing thud was not enough to stop Gaga, though, as she went on to sing like everything was choreographed.

The Houston incident was not the first time that Gaga suffered a mishap while performing. The eccentric performer, who usually wears high-heeled boots during concerts, has slipped several times on the stage.

Lady Gaga Maria Aragon Duet "Born This Way" Toronto Concert (Video)

Lady Gaga and Maria Aragon, the 10 year-old Canadian singer and Youtube sensation, performed a powerful acoustic duet of "Born This Way" at The Monster Ball Tour concert in Toronto on March 3rd!

In February, a video of Maria covering "Born This Way" was posted on Youtube and it drew the attention of Gaga in a short time. She was moved by her performance and retweeted a link to the video to her eight million followers, causing a sensation and launching Maria to instant, international fame. And then Gaga invited Maria to join her performing the song together at her Toronto concert in March.

"I'm really excited Maria is here today because Maria represents what this song is all about. It's all about the next generation of the future", Gaga said before the two started singing during the concert.

Lady gaga Born This Way Premiere Yesterday!

“Born this Way” is the title track of Lady Gaga‘s second studio album. It became Gaga’s third number-one hit in the United States, appearing atop the Hot 100 and breaking several digital sales and radio records, as announced by Billboard on February 16, 2011. In addition to success in the United States, the song debuted within the top 5 in more than 10 other countries.

Despite the positive reception the song has received from the market, critics lambasted the track for having similarities with Madonna‘s “Express Yourself.”

Lady Gaga wasn't quite born when the Grammy Awards began on Sunday, Feb. 13--she was still in her egg while she "walked" the red carpet. Later that evening, Gaga was birthed, or perhaps more accurately, rebirthed as, well, Lady Gaga.

She emerged from a now-larger egg onstage, and you could see this wasn't the same Gaga. In case you didn't catch the subtle (not a word often used to describe any part of Gaga onstage) touches: Her hair was off-pink with amniotic remnants. Her bones had structurally changed. Her shoulders now had positively Vulcan protrusions.



"My bones have changed in my face and shoulders," she says. "I am now able to reveal to the universe that when I was wearing jackets that looked like I was wearing shoulder pads, it was really just my bones underneath."

If you're looking for a self-conscious wink in any of this, you'll probably be waiting for at least a few more Gaga life spans. There's no line between Stefani Germanotta, Gaga's birth name, and Lady Gaga. There's no onstage and offstage. There's only Gaga.

Gaga seemed in good spirits as we chatted, speaking in impassioned tones about her vision for the upcoming album, and just about anything else we asked. She even spoke for the first time about her new retail relationship with Target.
