Pink's "Raise Your Glass" Becomes Her 10th U.S. Top 10 Single

Pink has every right to knock one (or three) back herself this week, as her Greatest Hits...So Far!!! single "Raise Your Glass" climbs up one position to #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and becomes her 10th American Top 10 hit (not counting that abomination that was "We Are The World 25," which I've stated before makes me want to swallow glass).

"Raise Your Glass" is also her highest-charting U.S. hit since "So What" reached #1 back in September 2008. (Stick with Max Martin, girl!) And I have to say, this jam is a total grower. I wasn't completely smitten with it at first, but hearing it on the radio over the past couple of weeks has proven to be a pleasant surprise each time. Good on ya, Pink. Looking forward to the greatest hits (out November 15) finding a permanent home in my car next month.

Elsewhere, Yolanda Be Cool and DCUP's international dance hit "We No Speak Americano" climbs up to #29, Shakira's "Loca" jumps up 52 spots to #32 (thus giving British rapper Dizzee Rascal his first American hit) and Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" debuts at #78.

On a final note, Natasha Bedingfield goes in at #95 with new single "Strip Me." Jesus. This song, "Babies"—what is it with these repressed religious girls?

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Like A G6" - Far*East Movement *2 weeks*
2. "Just The Way You Are" - Bruno Mars"
3. "Only Girl (In The World)" - Rihanna
4. "Just A Dream" - Nelly
5. "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" - Usher feat. Pitbull
6. "Bottoms Up" - Trey Songz feat. Nicki Minaj
7. "Teenage Dream" - Katy Perry
8. "Dynamite" - Taio Cruz
9. "Club Can't Handle Me" - Flo Rida feat. David Guetta
10. "Raise Your Glass" - Pink

Shakira Loca Music Video: Shakira Dances In Bikini For New Single "Loca"

Shakira Dances In Bikini For Loca Music Video picture

Shakira has released the new music video for her latest single "Loca", the first song from her upcoming bilingual studio album "Sale El Sol" which is due on October 19th.

In this new "Loca" clip filmed in Spanish city of Barcelona, the 33-year-old Colombian pop star was seen roller skating along the sea front, riding a motorcycle and dancing in a gold bikini in the city’s famous Pla de Palau fountain.

The video also stars rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Check out the new music video for Shakira’s "Loca" below!

Shakira Shakes Her Gold Pants In Her Guerrilla-Style "Loca" Video

Over the past few week's I've found myself kind of addicted to Shakira's "Loca," the first single off upcoming album Sale El Sol. It's almost as if the Colombian diva's truthful hips have hypnotized me with their rapid gyrating.

And, oh, how they gyrate in the song's music video. Here she is on the streets of Barcelona, where the video was shot pretty much guerrilla-style.

I really can't see this being much of a U.S. hit. And sure enough, it's nowhere to be found on the iTunes chart. Maybe in the UK, though, where Dizzee Rascal (who's "featured") is a big name?

It's Shakira's New Single "Loca"

With the World Cup now out of the way and her last album She Wolf giving Christina Aguilera a run for the floptastic, hip-shaking chica Shakira is readying the release of her bilingual LP Sale El Sol, which is out October 15th.

First single "Loca" arrived—or at least leaked—today, and the English version features rapping by Dizzee Rascal.

I think I liked it better when there was a she wolf in her closet.

According to Yahoo! News Hip-shaking Colombian pop star Shakira is meeting with Haitian earthquake survivors living in makeshift camps and she says she is searching for suitable land to build a school for needy children.

Arriving Sunday, the singer waved to onlookers and greeted infants living on a Haitian golf course that has turned into a sprawling makeshift camp for 50,000 quake survivors.

Her Barefoot foundation provides nutrition to more than 6,000 children in Colombia, and she is member of the ALAS foundation that advocates for children across Latin America.

Shakira was greeted by actor Sean Penn, who is providing humanitarian aid at Haitian refugee camps. The two stars spoke about challenges confronting Haiti since the Jan. 12 disaster.

Home for the Holidays with Faith Hill & Another Christmas at Belmont with Trisha Yearwood

More TV Doldrums tonight. Which will likely have me finding something to watch on the Military History Channel. It must be getting close to Christmas.

Christmas at Belmont 2009
8/7c PBS
Trisha Yearwood hosts an annual Christmas concert in Nashville. It's on PBS, so this show should be classy with classic Christmas songs. Sung in a country music style. I assume.

A Home for the Holidays with Faith Hill
8/7c CBS
I did not know Faith Hill was adopted as a little baby. She is hosting this Christmas special, which is an annual event to raise adoption awareness. I suspect we'll be seeing some tearjearking stories. We'll also be seeing recently engaged to a professional hockey player, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Mary J. Blige and Shakira. With Shakira in the mix I suspect this will not be a totally country music show.

Shakira is Addicted To Being On Stage

Colombian singer Shakira revealed that she has an ongoing obsession to performing on stage that it is like a lifeblood to her. Shakira said that this strong affinity to stage performance started out when she was five years old when she saw a gyrating belly dancer in a restaurant. It was the epiphany that her parents saw that little Shakira was destined to be a star.
Shakira She Wolf
The 32 year old She Wolf singer told The Guardian UK she "was dancing and doing performances in school, every Friday, the same number over and over again. I was five years old, I got addicted to being on stage. It felt like the most wonderful place on Earth, performing in front of an audience, who in this case were a bunch of classmates, kids my age".

When she was 8, another revelation came in when Shakira discovered she could write songs. Her father would even register them to the notary so that nobody can steal these songs from her. Yet, Shakira's choir master did not like her voice at all. Shakira said that: "He thought I had a pronounced vibrato. He said I sounded like a goat and I would destabilize the entire choir if I was allowed to join". Your choir master was right all along - you're not destined to sing as a group because you'll likely rise to become a global solo performer!
