I made it to the part on The Bachelor where Brad dumped Chantal, with Chantal being quite upset as the tears flowed as she was driven away in a limo. And then my DVR caught up to the present moment.
So, I've not watched the special moment where Brad tells "Em" she is the one.
Nor have I watched the After The Final Rose show where Brad and Emily appear in public for the first time since Brad proposed 3 months ago.
Apparently on the After The Final Rose show Emily displayed a brand new personality, with all sorts of issues regarding her relationship with Brad.
Also, during the 3 months since Brad proposed in South Africa the wannabe lovebirds have broken up once. Near as I can tell, Emily has issues with Brad drinking beer during a football game and an aversion to moving to Austin.
I can understand the moving to Austin aversion.
Emily also had some trouble with Brad's assertion that he'd fallen for her from the start, after she watched the show and saw him being ardently lustful with several of the wife wannabes, including supposedly getting to know two of the others in the Biblical Sense in the notorious Fantasy Suites.
Brad may have had a problem with some of the info that has surfaced about Emily Maynard since he proposed. Then again, Brad does not strike me as the sort of guy who does a lot of reading. So, unless someone told him, Brad may be oblivious to the stories about Emily's tragic past, as told by Emily, being a bit fictional.
Emily's version has it that the father of her daughter, Ricky Hendrick, had been her childhood sweetheart, who left her one day to never return, killed in a plane crash, with Emily learning a week later she was pregnant.
Well.
Ricky Hendrick's ex-fiance, Cori Kurek, disputes Emily's story.
Cori's does not believe Emily and Ricky were ever engaged.
Cori claims that, “After Ricky died and she found out she was pregnant, Emily wanted to have lunch with me, because she didn’t know him that well.”
Cori was engaged to Ricky from 2002 to 2003. When the two broke off their engagement, Cori gave back Ricky’s ring. “I’m amazed at the details Emily excludes about her background,” says Cori of the 24-year-old’s portrayal on the show.
A source close to the Hendricks claims that Ricky's family gave Emily the engagement ring that Ricky had given Cori, in order to supposedly spare them the embarrassment of an out of wedlock baby, making it appear that wedding plans had been made at the time of Ricky's death. Emily had the ring on her finger in the delivery room, characterized, by an up close source, as "a staged, fake engagement."
Emily's story is that she and Ricky were childhood sweethearts. But Cori says, “Ricky and I were together for a very long time and as far as I know, there was never any Emily in his life.”
I thought it odd that when Brad went on the all important hometown date, to meet Emily's family, he met no family other than Emily's daughter, Ricky.
Brad should have fallen for Chantal from the start. He'd be much better off.

The Bachelor Sends Ashley Home While He Keeps Chantal & Emily In South Africa
I fast forwarded through last night's The Bachelor during lunch. I've always thought this show seems scripted due to how each iteration seems to follow, for the most part, the same plot line with the same words.
Right on schedule, all three remaining women, Chantal, Emily and Ashley, are falling in love with Brad.
Falling in love is required by the time The Bachelor takes his 3 remaining potential wives to some exotic location where they are surprised, because they've never seen the show, to be given an envelope from Chris Harrison with a key to the fabled "Fantasy Suite," should they choose to fore go their individual rooms and spend the night as a couple in the same bed.
Chantal was first up for the Fantasy Suite. After a day spent on safari in a South Africa nature preserve, Chantal eagerly accepted the Fantasy Suite offer. It was a treehouse. I saw no bathroom. Maybe there was an outhouse on the ground level.
Next up was Emily. Brad took her on an elephant ride. Emily also accepted the Fantasy Suite offer, after appearing to be a bit reluctant due to this behavior's possible bad example on her impressionable daughter.
The cameras always follow them into the Fantasy Suite, then linger, even though it is always stated that one of the assets of the Fantasy Suite is alone time away from the cameras. I suppose eventually the Fantasy Suite is camera-free.
Last up was Ashley. Brad took her on a helicopter ride over some spectacular scenery. Brad seems, to me, to have really awkward conversational skills. He can get twitchy. And to me he can look a bit weaselly.
The conversations with Emily are really dull. Brad seems a bit more natural with Chantal. But with Ashley it was really strange. It was like everything Brad asked just got them more disconnected. I couldn't figure out what he was trying to ask. He is very inarticulate.
But, Ashley accepted the Fantasy Suite offer.
Next up was the Sacred Rose Ceremony. The three women were standing outside. Brad arrived and asked to talk to Ashley, leaving the other two standing for what seemed a couple hours. Basically Brad tried to talk to Ashley again about how and why their Fantasy Date went south. This turned into the same type inarticulateness that caused the problem.
Eventually Brad decided that he could not put Ashley through the Sacred Rose Ceremony since he knew he had to get rid of her. So, Brad stuck Ashley in what looked like am Armored Vehicle and off she went. What I did not get is how did that Armored Vehicle know to arrive?
See what I mean? Scripted.
Then, as Brad was in flummoxed agony, we went to break, with Chantal and Emily still standing, while we went live to Tom Bergeron and Brook Burke.
Apparently we'd gone live previously during a break that I fast forwarded through. The live announcement of the new Dancing with the Stars cast. The only "stars" I recognized were Kirstie Alley, Wendy Williams, Kendra Wilkinson, Ralph Macchio and Sugar Ray Leonard.
And then it was back to The Bachelor where Brad finally returned to the Sacred Rose Ceremony, which seemed a bit odd, because he'd already sent Ashley home. But, Brad went ahead with asking Chantal and then Emily if they would accept the Sacred Rose.
Both did, because like I already told you, they are falling in love with a man they can see spending the rest of their lives with.

The Bachelor: Brad Gives Shawntel No Rose After An Embalming Demonstration
This week, on The Bachelor, with it down to only 4 wife candidates left for the 3 Fantasy Suite positions, I was able to remember their names.
Shawntel, Chantal, Ashley and Emily.
This week's The Bachelor episode was the one where Brad Womack travels to the hometown of his potential wife to meet her family. These are known in Bachelor-speak as "Hometown Dates", usually shortened to "Hometown."
The "Hometowns" follow a repeating script. One thing in the script is "Hometowns are important." Another part of the Hometown Script is taking the father aside to ask if is okay to ask the daughter to be the wife is she works out well in the Fantasy Suite.
I watch The Bachelor with a bit of a heavy hand on the fast forward button. I did not see Brad meet Emily's family or ask Emily's dad permission to marry Emily.
Despite the previews that had indicated otherwise, Emily's daughter Ricky did not run screaming from the room in terror when she first saw Brad. I really don't get the Emily attraction.
Ashley's family was a bit weird.
Chantal's family lived in a big house with a lot of rock work. Being from the Seattle area I can tell you this was a typical Seattle house. I read somewhere that Chantal's dad is a former Seattle Seahawk who now owns car dealerships in the Seattle zone. Chantal's house was also nice. I don't know if Chantal is a car dealer.
But, I do know that Shawntel does work in her dad's business. Shawntel put Brad up on an embalming table to demonstrate how she works with corpses. Brad is a bit of a stiff, so this made sense.
The funeral parlor, embalming table visit was a bit creepy. So, it did not surprise me, even though she declared her deep and ever lasting love for Brad every 2 minutes, that it was Shawntel who did not get a rose in the Sacred Rose Ceremony.
I did not wait for the previews of next week's episode. I assume Brad is jetting the potential wives off to an exotic tropical location where he will spend the night with each in a Fantasy Suite. Brad did not feel right about kissing Emily with little Ricky in the house. I hope thinking that little Emily might be watching her mom in the Fantasy Suite does not give Brad performance anxiety.

The Bachelor Brad Womack Finally Sent Michelle Money Home
It was down to only 6 wife candidates on The Bachelor remaining and I still can't remember all their names, for certain.
On Monday night's 2 hour episode of The Bachelor Brad Womack became a rule breaking madman.
Monday's wife hunting had 3 one on one dates and one group date. With no roses to be handed out on the one on one dates, but with one rose to be handed out on the group date.
Normally on those all important one on one dates you have to get a Sacred Rose or you are sent home.
I don't remember if it was the first one on one date of the night, but Brad took a wife candidate I don't remember seeing much of previously, I think the name was Britt, on a yacht. During the yacht date Brad realized he had no connection with this particular wife candidate. So, even though he was going against the rules, he sent Britt, if that is her name, packing. Because he'd vowed to himself to not lead any women on this time.
Apparently, on his previous iteration on The Bachelor, Brad was seen as quite a cad.
The on his one on one date with Emily, who he now calls Em, like Auntie Em, Brad broke another rule. He told Em that even though he was strictly forbidden to do so by the strict rules, that he was breaking the rules and letting her know, now, that even though he can't give her a Sacred Rose right then, that she could rest assured she would be getting a rose at the Sacred Rose Ceremony.
The group date where Brad was allowed to give out one of the Sacred Roses did not go well when he did so. Were there 3 or 4 wife candidates on the group date? I don't remember. I think the remaining six are the aforementioned Britt and Emily. Plus a couple of Chantalls, an Ashley and the nutjob, Michelle Money.
I think the group date consisted of Ashley, one of the Chantalls and Michelle. For whatever reason Brad gave Ashley the Sacred Rose, which really upset the ones who did not get the Sacred Rose, one of whom, I think it was a Chantall, had declared her deep and abiding love for Brad.
With Britt already exiled from their location on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, only one wife candidate got the boot at the Sacred Rose Ceremony.
Brad broke all the rules once more when he cancelled the Cocktail Party that is part of the Sacred Rose Ceremony. Brad cancelled getting drunk with the wife candidates because he'd finally figured out Michelle was way too much trouble.
And so Brad did not give Michelle Money a Sacred Rose. I was hoping for a good Michelle meltdown, but she took the eviction quietly, did not want to talk to Brad about it. Then as she drove away in the limo, still no tears or words of upset. Instead Michelle just lay down on the car seat and stared at the camera.
Next week it is the all important Hometown Dates, where Brad gets to meet Emily's daughter, who, by the looks of the previews, does not take well to Brad. Who can blame her? Then I guess it is to the 2 Chantall's hometowns. And Ashley's.
One of the 4 will be weeded out next week at yet one more dramatic Sacred Rose Ceremony, followed by the all important Fantasy Suite episode where Brad takes the wife candidates to some exotic location and then proceeds to spend the night with each of them to fully test their fitness for full wife duties. I hope he remembers to pack Viagra.

The Bachelor's Michelle Money's Affair with Chicago Bull Boozer
That is Michelle Money and Carlos Boozer in the picture. Michelle is currently trying to convince Brad Womack to marry her on The Bachelor.
Michelle Money.
I've never heard of anyone named Money before. I've heard of boozers before, but never anyone named Boozer.
Every iteration of the Bachelor and Bachelorette that I have watched has had at least one villain or nutcase among the love seekers. Sometimes it will be a person who is both a villain and who seems to be a bit of a nutcase.
That would seem to be the case with Michelle Money. A villain and a nutcase.
Ms. Money told Life & Style Magazine that she had an affair with Chicago Bull basketballer, Carlos Boozer, back when he was #6 for the Utah Jazz.
Ms. Money told Life & Style, “Yes, I was in a relationship with Carlos while he was still married. What I did was wrong,”
Apparently Michelle is well known in Salt Lake City. She claims Mr. Boozer told her he was separated when they began their affair. However it was not til March of 2009 that Boozer filed for divorce. And then, 3 months after that, the Boozer/Money Affair ended.
Life & Style may say Boozer filed for divorce in 2009, but the Salt Lake Tribune reported that divorce proceedings got underway in August of 2010. So, there is speculation that Boozer got back with the wife after he dumped the Money girl.
I think Michelle Money would be an excellent match for Brad Womack.

The Bachelor's Brad Womack's Bettina Bell Affair
The Bachelor, Brad Womack, aka Brad Pickelsimer, just keeps getting skeezier and skeezier.
I am not sure skeezier is a word. It is being flagged as misspelled, so I suspect I have made up a word.
Well, skeezier fits.
I did not watch any of Womack's first attempt to find a wife on The Bachelor, the attempt where Brad won infamy by rejecting all the potential wives.
Including Bettina Bell. I think that is Brad rejecting Bettina in the picture.
Bettina Bell made it as far as spending the night with Brad in one of those notorious Fantasy Suites. And then he rejected her, keeping Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas to reject later.
Well.
Apparently Bettina Bell made a good enough impression in the Fantasy Suite that after Brad's The Bachelor stint was over the fantasy started up again, with Brad wooing Bettina with sweet nothings, heavy-duty smooching and other Fantasy Suite type stuff.
And then when Brad got the call to go and try and find a wife again on The Bachelor, he suddenly broke up with Bettina after 9 months of conjugal bliss.
Bettina says, "It was so strange. He was pursuing me like crazy, and then out of nowhere he went MIA."
MIA means Missing in Action for you who don't do initials.
Brad, the cad, denies being in any serious relationship during the time between his two The Bachelor stints, saying, "I have not been in a true relationship since the show ended."
That's gotta make this Bettina girl feel real good.
Bettina is shocked that Brad agreed to go back on ABC's infamous Train Wreck, hypocritically telling her he hated doing it the first time, that it was a bad experience.

The Bachelor's Brad Womack's Previous Name & Criminal History
That is a mugshot of Brad Womack, taken in November of 2009, after his first failed search for a wife on The Bachelor. I do not know what Brad did this time that warranted a mugshot.
Previously, way back in 1993, back when Brad Womack went by the name of Bradley Stephan Pickelsimer, Pickelsimer was arrested on a forgery charge, due to being in possession of a counterfeit driver's license. In other brushes with the law Pickelsimer/Womack found himself busted for passing a bad check and for public intoxication.
Forgery is a felony, which brought Brad a $200 fine and 180 days of probation. To this day Womack has to check in with the Texas state agency which tracks convicted criminals.
The Womack criminal history does not seem all that bad to me. And I can sort of understand why someone might want to change their last name from Pickelsimer.
Of all the Reality TV Shows that I watch, I least understand why I waste time on The Bachelor.
It is so strange watching all these strange women get so twisted up over a guy they've barely met. And those dates he talks them on, either solo, or in groups, are so ridiculous, for the most part.
Rappelling off a Los Angeles skyscraper? If someone I barely knew took me on a helicopter ride to the top of a building to rappel down to a swimming pool and dinner, well, I'd take the elevator and call a taxi and get out of there.
And why does Womack jump in a pool with his clothes on over and over again? And how is it that these people always have their swimming suits and changes of clothes with them?
And do none of these women find Womack to be a rather wooden bore?

The Bachelor's Emily Manyard's Tragic Past
This week on The Bachelor we finally heard the sad secret that Emily had been holding back from telling anyone, not the girls or The Bachelor, Brad Womack.
That is the one love of Emily's life, on the left, NASCAR driver Ricky Hendricks, killed in an airplane crash on October 24, 2004, along with seven other family members and friends.
Emily did not go with Ricky that day. Staying behind because she felt ill. Later that day Emily learned Ricky's plane had crashed into Bull Mountain on its way to the Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virginia. The crash was due to pilot error caused by a heavy fog.
A few days later Emily found out she was pregnant, giving birth in June of 2005 to Josephine "Rikki" Hendrick.
I believe Emily was 18 at the time Ricky died, 19 when the baby was born.
Emily telling her sad story had a profound effect on the other seekers of love, eventually causing the one with vampire fangs to leave. Which sort of made me think she was the best catch in the house.
Brad picked Emily for one of those coveted one on one dates. It was upon learning this that Emily told the other girls her story and her trepidation about telling Brad.
On their date the pair flew north to a California vineyard. Upon arrival there was a lot of awkwardness with Emily acting all reticent and Brad being a bit frustrated.
Then, later, while having dinner, Emily told Brad her sad story.
And that is where it got weird for me. Emily told Brad her story pretty much verbatim, word for word, precisely how she told it to the girls. I found that so odd.
Brad was properly empathetic and sympathetic. And gave Emily one of those coveted sacred roses.
I like Emily. How could you not? But, that verbatim retelling of her story troubles me. Why? I really don't know.
I can't believe I'm entertained by watching this trainwreck. This would not be possible were it not for the invention of the DVR and the Fast Forward button.
And I have to say, Brad Womack, well, is this guy good marriage/breeding material? Have we heard him have an actual conversation? Do these people actually ever actually talk about anything? But that damn journey they are all on?
Methinks it would make for some high hilarity television if Brad were to ask each of the girls for her opinion about Obama's Health Care Reform. Or what they thought the response to North Korea's bad behavior should be. And what about the rise of China? What do you think of that? How many kids would you think it wise to have in our current troubled economic times?
Anyway. Emily for the win? Probably not. Is marrying Brad winning? Probably not.

How many kids would you think it wise to have in our current troubled economic times?
Anyway. Emily for the win? Probably not. Is marrying Brad winning? Probably not.

The Bachelor: Brad Womack's Second Chance To Find A Wife Or Not
I did not watch The Bachelor during its first iteration with Brad Womack being The Bachelor. I was aware that that particular attempt to find a lonely guy a wife ended up with Womack rejecting all the women.
Including Deanna Pappas.
It is my theory that it was this iteration of The Bachelor that caused the show to evolve to being the entertaining trainwreck it is in its current form.
DeAnna Pappas went on to be The Bachelorette, choosing a snowboarder over Jason Mesnick. Leading to the trainwreck known as Jason Mesnick being the next Bachelor, with him picking a wife, Melissa Rycroft, and then rejecting her in favor of his second choice.
Mesnick and his second choice are now married. And Rycroft went on to dance with the stars. And marry someone else and reproduce.
One of Mesnick's rejects was the Canadian, Jillian Harris, also known as Hot Tub Harris. Among Jillian's rejectees was a crybaby named Jake Pavelka.
Jake Pavelka went on to being the most reviled Bachelor in The Bachelor history, picking Vienna Girardi to be his wife, which led to the biggest trainwreck in The Bachelor history, with Jake Pavelka revealed to be an abusive jerk suffering from an extreme case of Little Man Syndrome.
And also dancing with the stars. Badly.
I recorded last night's first episode of Brad Womack's second chance at love. I only watched the end of the Sacred Rose Ceremony. There were WAY too many women. Some of them looked a bit scary to me.
The previews for this iteration of The Bachelor make it appear that there will be a lot of drama on this most dramatic season of The Bachelor in recorded history.
And the previews indicated that in the end, it's the two women who reject this particular Bachelor this time.
Which pretty much indicates that that is not what is going to happen.
I do not know if I'll be watching. What little I saw of this Brad Womack guy I found sort of creepy. Is that a beard, or what, that he seems to always have on his face? And a big cross tattoo on his back? Huge points are always lost with me with HUGE tattoos in weird places.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy In The Ukraine On The Bachelor Wondering If Mark Ballas & Derek Hough Will Be On The American The Bachelor
You are looking at picture of Dancing with the Stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy soon after his arrival in the Ukraine, on November 26.
Has Maks defected back to his homeland?
No.
Maks is back in his old homeland to try and find a wife by being on a Ukrainian TV network's Ukrainian version of ABC's The Bachelor.
I learned of this on Maks' blog where he defended himself regarding rumors that he'd refused to be on the American version of The Bachelor because he can't stand American women.
Maks has had some lovelife woes in his search for a wife. He claims to be real shy, with his time taken up by his dance career. For awhile Maks was engaged to fellow dancer Karina Smirnoff. He seemed real happy about it. But then they split. And now Karina is engaged again. While Maks hunts for Ukrainian love.
I think Maks would be very amusing on the American The Bachelor.
The Bachelor/Bachelorette has had a one way relationship with Dancing with the Stars, with Bachelorettes Trista Rehn Sutter and Melissa Rycroft dancing, along with everyone's most despised Bachelor, Jake Pavelka.
It seems only fair that one or two of the Dancing with the Stars stars should be on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
If Karina Smirnoff most recent engagement goes awry, she'd make a good Bachelorette.
Wouldn't Derek Hough or Mark Ballas be amusing Bachelors? Those boys in the Fantasy Suites? Now that would be some entertaining TV viewing.
I wonder if the Ukrainian version of The Bachelor will have Maks in 3 different Fantasy Suites? He's such a shy guy, I'm sure this would make him very nervous.
In the video below you'll see Maks upon his arrival in the Ukraine and hear him speaking Russian. Or is it Ukrainian............?

American Idol's Casey James the Next Bachelor?
A couple days ago I read somewhere that the host of The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Chris Harrison, thinks Cool, Texas bachelor, Casey James, would make a good choice for the next season of The Bachelor.Supposedly Casey James makes his home, currently, in Fort Worth. Cool is a town a short distance west of Fort Worth.
Chris Harrison is a Texas native, from Dallas. The same town from whence Jake Pavelka hailed.
There are those who think maybe it is time to give North Texas a break from reality tv notoriety.
Particularly after the Jake Pavelka embarrassment, where Jake went from being seen as an aw shucks good ol' boy to now being seen as an overbearing, control freaking, nut job with an extreme case of Little Man Syndrome.
Casey James does not have Little Man Syndrome. He's tall. Casey James seems to be a nice guy, that's how he came across on American Idol. I think we saw enough of him to make a fairly accurate assessment. I don't think he is hiding an inner nutcase.
Of late The Bachelor/Bachelorette has become a bit of a legit hit. I think The Bachelorette came in #3 in last week's Nielsens. The Jake/Vienna interview debacle might have it at #1, maybe, in this week's Nielsens.
I'm assuming it's all the highly hyped drama that's turned this former snoozefest into entertainment. Awhile back it seems a lot more booze was added to the mix. Casey James has a couple booze related legal issues in his past, I think, so the bachelor booze should be no problem for him.
I've not read anything about Casey James' lovelife history, if there is some tragic backstory to be milked.
I think it'd be a good plan for The Bachelor to break the cycle of choosing the next bachelor from the pool of rejected bachelors. That is how they ended up with Jason Mesnik and Jake Pavelka. Then again, both those boys provided some pretty perverse television viewing.
Would American Idol and FOX let Casey James out of whatever contractual deal he has with them so that he could go on an ABC show and visit some Fantasy Suites?
I somehow doubt it.

Jake Pavelka: The Bachelor from HELL!
Well, Jake the Bachelor just keeps on being inadvertently entertaining. Entertaining via the various TV forum comments about the Monday night debacle where poor ol' Jake dropped his mask and created Reality TV Gold with his embarrassingly behavior.I imagine Jake reads what viewers are saying about him. I think that would be something a Fame Whore would do. I think some of what people are saying about Jake might be driving him to a tearful breakdown.
We've seen a tearful Jake breakdown, at least twice. But, that was before I found out he is an actor. One would have thought he would have produced a tearful breakdown during the interview with Vienna. A good sobbing tearful breakdown might have got some viewer's sympathy.
Anyway, below is some copy and pasting of viewer's comments, followed by a semi-amusing YouTube video with a few choice clips of Jake being the Bachelor from HELL during that now infamous interview...
Vienna is the immature girl viewers saw the whole season but her emotion felt real. Jake came off as even more fake than he did on the show and as a serious control freak. Combined with how they showed him treating Chelsea on DWTS, it looks like he needs people to always agree with him and build him up. He couldn't even let Vienna be the one who broke up with him. Spending much time with Vienna would make me buy ear plugs for sure but spending time with Jake would make me want to hit him to see if he could experience a genuine emotion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They should really do a "The Breakup" special everytime these couples split up. It makes me sad to think of all the nasty breakups we missed seeing over the years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with the general consensus that while Vienna could make anybody's ears bleed, Jake is a douchebag of epic proportions. Whoever said he should have chosen Tenley is probably right. He needs a submissive woman who will never disagree with him and will always tell him how perfect he is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That whole 'undermine' thing was just too much. He thinks if she bothers to have an opinion then she is 'undermining' him. He's a future abuser, if not an abuser already. It's all so obvious.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with this. A lot of his actions reminded me of my ex-husband. His anger issues, always having to be in control & his way is the only way. I felt sorry for Vienna & never thought I'd say that !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I posted in the Bachelorette thread that he's angry cuz he's so short (short-man syndrome). Definitely jives with the Tom Cruise comparison.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jake came off as a real jerk. If he would have chosen Tenley and treated her in a similar manner it would have CRUSHED her. Vienna was no fave of mine during the whole season but , she was acting the same way on the break-up show that she acted all season long, but Jake went from being Mr. Prince Charming to Mr. Heartless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I found him to be very Tom Cruise-ish, which isn't a compliment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm half and hour behind but this is freaking hysterical. She's not coming off any worse than she already was. He on the other hand is coming off as a total ass.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
While I find Vienna to be a complete mess who's probably broke and therefore willing to sell her story to anyone, I find myself believing her more than Jake. Jake kept making faces and was giving body language that made him come off like he was lying. And raising his voice and bringing his hand down near the end? Aggressive, not a good sign.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He should have gone with Tenley. Her goal in life was to be a perfect wife. He came off really bad in this. His complaints were stupid and he came across as an ass and arrogant. Either his manager really sucks or he wasn't prepared enough for the show. He should have followed Jason's example and done the whole "she wasn't the same person" "we just didn't click out of the show" bit so he'd look good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, Jake the Fake came off as a total ass. I know Vienna was annoying and wouldn't stfu, but at least she had specific examples of things he said or things that happened. And she showed emotion and it actually seemed like she gave a damn. He wouldn't even look at her, and had nothing to back himself up with except "that isn't true."

Jake Pavelka Vienna Girardi Chris Harrison Bachelor Breakup Interview
I was too tired to watch The Bachelorette last night with its Jake & Vienna Breakup Special. So, over lunch I fast forwarded through the truncated The Bachelorette episode that saw Ali dump Ty. Why? I don't know. I think I fast forwarded through that date.
I don't think this ends well for Ali.
By the time I got to the Vienna/Jake Smackdown I went out of fast forward mode and watched every uncomfortable second of Jake's embarrassing implosion.
Before I say anything else I have to say, I think Vienna came out the winner in the Smackdown.
I have never liked that Jake guy. Something just always seemed fake and off to me.
I doubt Jake has a clue about what he revealed about himself via the interview with Chris Harrison, but it was real clear this boy has some serious issues. Very controlling. Very overbearing. With an easily ignited temper.
Jake, over and over again, said that Vienna interrupting him was an example of her constantly undermining ways. Vienna's interruptions did not come off that way. To me it was more just a natural conversational argument mode. In the screencap you are seeing the moment when Jake lost his temper, lashing out angrily at Vienna, for interrupting. Vienna burst into tears and walked off the set.
That moment when Jake lost his temper, we all saw what Vienna had been putting up with. Vienna nailed Jake on his communication problems, his intimacy problems, his lying, his fame whoring and not being a pilot.
When Harrison asked Jake for examples of Vienna undermining him, well, Jake's examples revealed more of his domineering overbearingness. Apparently Vienna could not even make a suggestion as to how to arrange bedroom furniture without Jake taking it as more undermining.
Apparently all this underming, and what Jake called emasculation by Vienna, left him feeling no urge to be affectionate. Unless cameras were aimed at him.
Jake is so insecure. At one point the story of the GPS is told. Vienna asks where some building is located. Jake proceeds to tell Vienna something like it's a mile ahead, take a right and go another mile. Vienna then takes out the GPS and programs in the address. This sends Jake into what he feels is a justifiable rage, grabbing the GPS from Vienna and tossing it. He's the man. She should never question him.
Jake looked creepy during the Smackdown. Vienna looked vulnerable and sad. I felt sorry for her.
I'm appalled I enjoyed watching this.

The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka Vienna Girardi Breakup Wars
Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi are being all kinds of nasty, all over the place, over this sad, tragic breakup of their storybook The Bachelor romance.Vienna supposedly sold her version of their failed romance to the STAR tabloid for $90,000. Vienna allegedly told the STAR that Jake was not very affectionate. Only kissing her when cameras were in range. That they went months without being, uh, intimate.
With Jake giving various excuses to Vienna as to why he did not want to be "with her" in the Biblical sense.
Jake's first excuse was that he was fasting. I guess fasting might affect his performance ability. I know I'm not all that able when I'm really hungry.
The 2nd excuse was that Jake just did not feel like servicing Vienna. He was probably still getting his nutrient levels back up from all that fasting.
The 3rd excuse was that Jake wanted to wait til they were married. What? Huh? What were they doing in that Fantasy Suite on the show? I thought they lived together. Again. Huh?
Finally, Jake told Vienna that he could not bring himself to bring himself to her, because all their fighting just pushed him away. Vienna was at her wit's end, quoted as saying, "I was like, really -- which excuse is it? I literally have been living six months with this guy who won't be intimate with me!"
Jake claims he broke up with Vienna because all the fighting was making it difficult for him to get into character for his role on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva, playing a character named Toby Davlin, with Jake actually saying, "One of the keys to acting is you have to get out of your head, They didn't hire me to be Jake, they hired me to play Toby Davlin. I can't be Jake and sell this character."
And so, Jake called Vienna to tell her he had to dump her to save his more important acting career. Vienna then wrote Jake a sad goodbye letter and supposedly stuck her $50,000 engagement ring in it.
Jake was on The Dish, whining to Mario Lopez about how Vienna had done him wrong, saying "There was a serious lack of respect in the relationship. when you're disrespected as a man, do you really want to go grab your woman, throw her on a bed and love on her?"
Apparently Jake had all sorts of reasons not to throw Vienna on a bed and love on her.
Frugal Jake was also not happy about Vienna running up a lot of charges on his credit cards. Plus, he also suspected Vienna of having an affair with an actor named Gregory Michael.
Supposedly things got heated between Jake and Vienna when they reunited for the first time to film their Bachelor Breakup Special, which airs July 5. Jake gets mad at one point, due to Vienna continually interrupting him. Internet rumors, denied by ABC, say that it got so heated Jake raised a fist to Vienna.
Raising a fist does not sound all that bad to me. All things considered.
The Bachelorette has been getting good ratings, #7 in the Nielsens last week. I suspect next Monday's smackdown between Jake and Vienna will do even better.

Bachelor Jake Pavelka Dumped Vienna Over Trust Issues
Apparently Jake Pavelka, he of The Bachelor fame, has ceased being a pilot to become full time TV fodder, in various formats.Jake went right from The Bachelor to Dancing With The Stars, then he was filming something called Drop Dead Diva, in Atlanta, when the Vienna Girardi red flags waved too strongly to ignore, with Jake having trust issues that had rendered rocky Jake & Vienna's 3 month relationship.
So, Jake called Vienna from Atlanta and dumped her.
Jake and Vienna have agreed to be interviewed about the tragic demise of their storybook love affair. I assume the interview will be conducted by Chris Harrison. The interview will air on the July 5 episode of The Bachelorette.
Jake will be working on mending his aching heart by appearing on a The Bachelor spin-off called Bachelor Pad. Bachelor Pad is some sort of competition show with a prize of a quarter million dollars. And another shot at falling in love.
Is Bachelor Pad some sort of Big Brother type show?
On Bachelor Pad Jake will be back with several old friends from his stint as The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, where we first saw Jake driven to tears.
Kooky Michele Kujawa will be in the Bachelor Pad. Also in attendance are other Jake rejectees, Elizabeth Kitt, Tenley Molzahn, Gia Allemand, Ashley Elmore and Jessie Sulidis. I remember Michele, Tenley, Gia and Elizabeth, with Elizabeth being the don't kiss me tease. I do not remember Ashley and Jessie.
In the Bachelor Pad, with Jake, are fellow Jillian rejectees from The Bachelorette, Kiptyn Locke, Wes Hayden, David Good, Jesse Kovacs and Juan Barbieri.
Bachelor Pad starts up Monday, August 9 at 8/7 Central on ABC.

The Bachelor Jake Splits From Vienna, While Ali Discovers the Bachelor Justin the Wrestler has a Girlfriend. Or Two.
This morning I saw "Jake Vienna" on the list of Google trends. I didn't care enough to wonder why. This afternoon I found out why the pair were being Google trendy.
The bachelor, and his bride to be, are no more. Splitsville. Romance failed. Bye bye Vienna. Pack your stuff and go.
Jake Pavelka confirmed his latest failed romance, but refused to say why the love match with Vienna had gone sour. Pavelka said, "I'm saddened by the whole thing, but sometimes love just isn't enough in a relationship. No matter what happens, Vienna and I will remain friends."
I wonder if Vienna finally had had enough of Jake's cliche spouting.
It would seem, due to the extremely low success rate, that the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise would meet its demise. As in, after awhile, isn't it a bit clear that the concept is flawed. But entertaining to watch.
Currently The Bachelor is 1 for 14, with Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney being the only married couple. The Bachelorette part of the franchise has the marriage of Trista and Ryan, plus a baby or two, as successes among the many failures.
Now on to the current Bachelorette debacle. Apparently it is Canadian professional wrestler, Justin, I think his wrestling name is "Rated R," who creates the drama next week in the most dramatic episode ever, I believe that is what I read Chris Harrison say, when Justin reveals, or is confronted with the fact, that he has a girl friend back home. The rumor is that the girl friend somehow called Ali to let Ali know what a two-timing bastard Justin is. Those Canadians are such bad boys.
I'm sure much amusing drama and brouhahaing shall ensue.
Meanwhile, I wonder if Vienna will go back to working at Hooters. And did she keep the $50K engagement ring?
And will Jake, now a free man, show up at Ali's final sacred ring ceremony to declare he is now a free man? Without a job.

The Bachelor: Jason & Molly Wed While Jake & Vienna Shack Up
Last week ABC's The Bachelor's most notorious bachelor, Jason Mesnick stopped being a bachelor when he finally got married to choice #2, Molly Malaney.Tonight, anyone who has the stomach for such a thing, can watch Jason & Molly get married. Well, more accurately, watch the recording of their wedding that took place previously to you watching it.
I wonder how much Jason & Molly got paid for the rights to televise this important event?
Meanwhile, yesterday I was stuck in a slow line at Wal-Mart.
I used being stuck in a slow line at Wal-Mart as an opportunity to read US Weekly.
The latest bachelor, Jake Pavelka and his controversial pick, Vienna Girardi, are on the cover of this week's US Weekly.Previously US Weekly's told us about all sorts of scandalous Vienna behavior.
Things like draining her husband's bank account while he was in Iraq, so that she could pay for new boobs, being caught flagrante dilecto with her husband's best friend, while her husband was in Iraq, posing nude, all sorts of bad girl X-rated stuff.
This week US Weekly tell us how Vienna tricked Jake.
Jake & Vienna are also on the cover of People magazine this week. Both deny all those horrible things that were being said about Vienna, in the tabloids and magazines, like US Weekly, as total fabrications.Apparently Vienna has yet to set foot in Jake's home state of Texas. It seems the couple is shacked up somewhere in the Hollywood zone, as Jake learns to dance for Dancing with the Stars.
US Weekly asked Vienna if she won't be totally super jealous over Jake spending so many hours practicing dancing with a beautiful dancer. Vienna indicated she was excited to watch Jake dance and had no problem with it.
Vienna waxed poetic about what a wonderful man Jake is. The best example of this wonderfulness that I remember was Vienna saying that Jake gets out of bed, every morning, to turn on the shower to get the water warm for Vienna. How horribly romantic.
What I actually thought was what sort of dump are they shacked up in that you have to run the shower for awhile to get the water hot?
I read somewhere that Jake's place in the Dallas area is a low rent dump and that he makes less than $30K a year when he does manage to find the time to fly a plane. Who knows if this is true or not. You read a lot of questionable things on the Internet.
Someday, if Jake's acting and dancing career doesn't pan out, he and Vienna may make it back to Dallas to shack up in his dump. Likely eagerly awaiting when they get their turn to have their wedding shown on TV. With substantial compensation.

The Bachelor's Final Rose Goes To Vienna With Jake On Dancing With The Stars & Allie The Next Bachelorette
Yes, that is Jake down on one knee, slipping a ring onto Vienna's finger after he declared his never dying devotion, asking Vienna to marry him.Previous to seeing Vienna win the big prize we saw Tenley get the silver. Tenley did not take it too well, but the theme seemed to be that she'd be okay, because Jake had taught her she could love again.
And previous to that we got to listen in on a very strange moment, on a boat, between Jake and Tenley as Jake tried to explain what was lacking in their relationship. Near as I could understand it Jake thought he had great emotional chemistry with Tenley. Whatever that is. The sexual chemistry was fine. But he was dby the lack of physical chemistry.
Now, I am not a huge student of this area of the chemistry science, but I always thought sexual chemistry and physical chemistry were the same thing.
Jake seems like a confused boy.
I found Jake's family to be a piece of work. Oddly, in a couple shots, Jake's mom sort of resembled an older version of Vienna, with a few pounds added and short, curly hair.
Jake is such a wild man, he verbalized his concern, to his mom, that he'd held back, with Tenley, in showing her his wild side. Like shoving her into a pool unexpectedly. So, later Jake and Tenley jumped into a pool with their clothes on, soon followed by most of Jake's family.
I DVRed the finale of The Bachelor. When I caught up to the present moment, I switched over to 24. After 24 I finished with Jake and his girls. I did not realize there was an After The Final Rose show. I should have remembered. My DVR should have remembered.
Well, I had had too much Bachelor, anyway, and would not have wanted to sit through another hour. Even with the FF button. I do wonder, though, what the current status is of the Jake/Vienna love affair, what with all the nasty bad stuff that's been in the tabloids about Vienna.
I'll likely be easily able to find out whatever juicy stuff, if any, was squeezed out of the likely bloated After The Final Rose show, in the morning.
UPDATE: At the After The Final Rose show it was revealed that the girl who left Jake to go back to work, Allie, is now quitting her job to be the next The Bachelorette.
It gets worse. It was also announced, as promised, who the final dancer on Dancing With The Stars will be. I thought it had to be a joke, but, apparently it is true. More Jake Pavelka on your TV screen. Dancing. But not on mine. I won't be watching either Dancing With The Stars or The Bachelorette. My resolve may change for DWTS.

The Bachelor: The Women Tell All With Rozlyn Stunning Chris Harrison
Well, of course the highlight of the women telling all on The Bachelor was going to be Rozlyn, she being the girl caught canoodling with one of the show's producers, which got her booted in the most shocking booting in the history of TV.When it came Rozlyn's turn to sit in the witness chair, for her Chris Harrison prosecution, she turned Clintonesque with an "I did not have sex with that man" stance, no matter how many times Chris asked, Rozlyn assured him that absolutely nothing happened.
Then Chris called on some other witnesses. Sweet Ella testified she saw Rozlyn on all fours with her butt stuck in the air, asking for her producer boyfriend because she was ready to be put to bed.
Ashleigh testified she'd seen Rozlyn and her boy friend touching.
Jessie swore she saw the lovebirds on top of each other on the stairs. Jessie swore on her puppy's life that she was telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Which caused Rozlyn to call Jessie's puppy bluff and raise her one by swearing on her child's life that nothing happened. I did not realize Rozlyn had reproduced til then.
The best moment came when Rozlyn turned prosecutorial and put Chris Harrison on the witness stand, accusing Harrison of hitting on her boyfriend's wife while they were in New Zealand. Harrison looked stunned, saying "I will not dignify that with a response." In other words he took the 5th.
I was looking forward to Michelle acting kooky. I was disappointed. Shown clips of her odd behavior, Michelle said she had no regrets.
Elizabeth fessed up to regretting implementing her no kiss plan, the one with all the "you really want to kiss me, don't you, I'm a really good kisser" type teasing.
Watching this train wreck I've long thought Jake is not the brightest candle in the room. The outtake segment had a Jake moment that confirmed that. Jake looks at the camera and asks, "What exactly does self-deprecating mean? That's not the same as self-defecating is it?
I wonder if he got an answer? If not, I hope Jake does not follow anyone's advice to be more self-deprecating, til he learns what it actually means.
Next week we learn how Jake's amazing journey to find a wife ends. And then the week after that is the After The Rose show where we learn that it just didn't work out. I'm guessing.

The Bachelor: The Girls Tell All About The Wings Of Love
I was so over The Bachelor after last week's bloated 2 hours. That staged phone call from Allie was some really bad TV.Jake pretends he doesn't know something is up. Didn't he notice the camera guy in the bathroom with him when the phone rang? And then they had to do another camera set up for him to take the call.
And of course there was all that video footage of Allie back in San Francisco.
I don't know that I've ever met anyone like Jake. He seems to pretty much talk in cliches. I don't think we've seen him string together more than a couple sentences. And what if he was banned from using the word "amazing." Could he speak?
Jake is just way too earnest. And then he dumped Gia, who seemed real, sweet and so good-looking. Leaving him with Tenley and Vienna.
I would have dropped Tenley after that awful dance she'd choreographed just for him. That was awful to watch. Of course, Jake loved it. Because it was amazing.
All those From Here To Eternity Burt Lancaster/Deborah Kerr rolling in the waves scenes, with Jake and the girls, before their romps in the Fantasy Suite, well, that really never looks all that much fun to me. Sand in places you don't want it to be.
As for the Fantasy Suites. I always have trouble suspending disbelief for those Fantasy Suites and what goes on in them.
Of course, Jake was deeply in love with all three women, so I suppose it makes sense that he might activate his inner Mormon and have himself a real fine time with all three girls. I think Gia and Tenley were probably grateful that they had their special time, with Jake, before he got worked over by Vienna.
Anyway, tonight is the amusing episode where the rejected ladies return and Chris Harrison asks a lot of smarmy questions. I wonder if the girl who got booted for boinking a production staffer will be there. What was her name? Rozlyn? Roslyn? Something like that. I hope Michelle brings a big load of crazy tonight.
I'll probably be disappointed. Such is my lot in life. I've never been in a Fantasy Suite. I'm a bit jealous.
