The pregnancy news comes a month after Cruz and Javier Bardem tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the Bahamas back in July. Madrid-based agency Kuranda said Cruz is four-and-a-half months on the way, meaning the Spanish actress was already pregnant when the wedding took place.
Earlier, it was speculated that Cruz was pregnant after she was seen with a noticeable baby bump while shooting “Pirates of the Caribbean: on Stranger Tides.”
Cruz and Bardem, who won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for 2008′s “No Country for Old Men,” met in 2007 while filming together Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” for which she won her Oscar last year.
Kuranda refused to give any other information about the pregnancy, saying only that Cruz has yet to finish shooting “Pirates.”
