No real surprise here. On Monday Billboard all but confirmed Weaveney's new single "Hold It Against Me" was going to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 chart this week, and now here we are.
The full chart will be published tomorrow, but basically the jam sold 411,000 downloads and Spears is now only the second artist ever to have two singles debut at #1 here in the States (the other being Mariah Carey, who entered at the top with "Fantasy," "One Sweet Day" and "Honey").
Now The Weaved One has a fourth chart-topper to her name, while producer-songwriter Max Martin has 10. And this couldn't come soon enough, because if either Bruno Mars' "Grenade" or Katy Perry's "Firework" flip-flopped and was #1 again, I was going to swallow a grenade.
