Jersey Shore Casts Signed Up for Third Season with 200% Pay Rise

A rep for the network confirmed Tuesday that all principal castmates have signed new contracts to shoot a third season of the GTL-pioneering hit.

Well, let's hope—for MTV's sake—that season two proves it was worth their while to give the likes of Snooki, JWoww and The Situation somewhere in the ballpark of $30,000 per episode.

"MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3," the network said in a statement.

"Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for Jersey Shore Season 2 on July 29th."

MTV supposedly had quite the situation on its hands, with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and pals demanding a 200 percent raise ($30,000 per ep up from $10,000 per ep for season two) before allowing cameras to once again capture their finest moments.
