Tiger Woods Divorce Settlement with Elin Nordegren: >$750 million + Full Child Custody Right Compromising

Golfer ace Tiger Woods will pay a hefty price for his sex esplanade with more than a dozen of mistresses.

Tiger Woods's divorce settlement with estranged wife Elin Nordegren has surfaced: it is said he needs to pay his Sweden model wife Nordegren at least $750 million plus fully compromising child custody right of daughter Sam Alexis Woods and son Charlie Axel Woods among other agreements so long as she never speak publicly about his extramarital affairs.

It is reported Tiger Woods and Erin Nordegren will sign divorce papers next week during a court hearing in Orlando, Florida.

Vuvuzelas, South African World Cup Buzzing Trumpets Are Manufactured By Home-based Factory in China

Vuvuzelas, the annoying trumpets blown all venues of FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa, are manufactured by home-based business in China. A vuvuzela sold to nearly ten US dollars in South Africa, only has a cost about 2 Yuan  (FYI, 1US$~6.79Yuan at current currency exchange rate).

Before the opening of World Cup, Wu exported 1 million vuvuzelas to South Africa, with each having a profit margin only 0.1 Yuan, so he did not make too much money. Now he improved its price to 3 Yuan each, in a bid to own more.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Sets New Midnight Record

Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has already set two records - widest release ever and biggest midnight opening.

The third film in the franchise earned more than $30 million from about 4,000 theaters at midnight, a figure that will be added to the Wednesday grosses. The previous midnight record was held by The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which opened to $26.3 million. "Eclipse" earned about $1 million from 192 IMAX theaters at midnight, a new record for the company.

Glee is getting a Reality TV Spin-off

Hit musical comedy Glee  is getting the reality TV treatment - an unscripted spin-off is reportedly set to debut next year.

Bosses at cable TV network Oxygen have acquired syndication rights to the Fox channel's high school musical series starring Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch, with plans to begin airing reruns in 2013.

And network executives are planning to launch a reality companion series in the mean time, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Details of the spin-off show have yet to be released.

Swizz Beatz in trouble with the taxman!

According Page six of the New York Post, Swizz Beatz owes the IRS:

Swizz Beatz has again been hit by the tax man. According to public records, the fiancé of Alicia Keys -- who's pregnant with Beatz's child -- was slapped with an IRS lien of $652,727 on June 3 for unpaid 2008 income tax. The music producer, real name Kasseem Dean, has had a string of liens filed against him and his former wife, Mashonda, in New York, Georgia and California. Their debts stand at about $2.2 million. A lawyer for Beatz said, "We have been discussing the issue with the government for years and are currently negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute."

That probably was all tied up in the divorce dispute...I wonder what Mashonda has to pay????

Canadian Pride!

Everyone knows Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year. Followed closely by Christmas Day. And then my birthday. (Although, now that I'm moving past the mid-twenties, that day is slowly becoming one to dread rather than celebrate...)

But right up there on my "favourite days of the year" pedestal is our beautiful country's birthday.

JULY 1st!! YEAH!!

(The sight of the Canada Flag going through the crowd at the Sens games always sends shivers down my spine...)

It has become a highlight on the calendar for me especially since I joined Quyon's Canada Day Committee, about 5 years ago now. We spend the year planning & fundraising for this one special day. In recent years, we've switched our celebrations to the evening of June 30th, as everyone has the next day off work leaving them free to have a good time, and also frees up Canada Day for people to take in other festivities, such as the ones close-by on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

But tonight, Quyon is the place to be!! The Lionettes will be hosting their annual Teddy Bear Hospital at the Lions Hall, with all proceeds going to the Shawville Hospital. There will be a community BBQ, followed by the parade which ends with a flag raising ceremony down by the Ferry docks. Continuing into the evening, the band Catalyst will be raising the roof of the hall and getting everyone pumped up for fireworks down by the Ottawa River.

Sound like fun?? It ALWAYS IS!!

Andy Serkis Set to Join Rise of the Apes

Andy Serkis, who is no stranger to WETA’s motion capture technology having played Gollum and King Kong for Peter Jackson, will be suiting up once again to play Caesar in Rise of the Apes according to 20th Century Fox.

Caesar is a hyper-intelligent chimp raised by humans who incites a worldwide ape revolution and causes the downfall of humankind.

Serkis probably had his summer booked for The Hobbit but as that won’t be happening until at least the end of the year he had a gap in his schedule for some monkey business. James Franco will be playing a young, driven scientist who becomes a crucial figure in the war between humans and apes, with Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto playing a primatologist.

Rise of the Apes will begin filming next month under the direction of Rupert Wyatt and has a release date set for June 2011.

Larry King ending his CNN show after 25 years

The iconic television interviewer, Larry King, has announced that he will be stepping down from hosting his show this fall.

King, 76, made the announcement from his Twitter account. ‘Larry King Live’ started 25 years ago and holds the record for being the longest running show with the same host in the same time slot by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The host said that he has made the decision so that he can spend more time with his wife and young children.

Part of the iconic image are his suspenders, large glasses and vintage desk microphone which has been a part of every episode that saw the interview of about thousands of personalities including all the US presidents since Richard Nixon.

One of King’s statements in his announcement went this way, “With this chapter closing I’m looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders.”

Deathly Hallows Trailer: New Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Trailer Released

A new trailer for Part I of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final Harry Potter film (starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint), has been released!

The Deathly Hallows has been split into two films with the first part hitting cinemas on November 19 of this year, but the final is scheduled to release on July 15, 2011.

Megan Fox Married: Megan Fox Wed Brian Austin Green Secretly In Hawaii!

Megan Fox and her fiancé Brian Austin Green are officially married!

Megan Fox, the 24-year-old former Transformers star, and her longtime on-again, off-again beau Brian Austin Green, the 36-year-old Beverly Hills 90210 actor, got married in a secret ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii last week (June 24), TMZ reported.

Fox and Green met on the set of film Hope And Faith in 2004. The couple first got engaged in 2007 but broke up in February 2009. They reconciled and became engaged again on June 1.

It's the first marriage for both, though Green has an 8-year-old son with 90210 actress Vanessa Marcil from a previous relationship.

Congrats to the newly wed couple!

The Bachelorette: Ali's Istanbul Belly Dancing & Ominous Previews

On The Bachelorette it seems that Ali Fedotowsky does not go on a date without taking her bikini along. And if any sort of opportunity presents itself to get into her bikini, she does so.

On Monday night's Istanbul episode Ali's final date of the night was with Frank. They went shopping and had dinner in what looked like a catacomb.

During the shopping there was no bikini opportunity, so Ali did the next best thing and put on a Belly Dancer outfit. While Frank wore a Sultan's Turban and acted all impressed with Ali's Belly Dancing.

This morning came news that, pre-The Bachelorette, a former boyfriend of Ali's snapped some pictures of her without her bikini on. This rejected former boyfriend is supposedly trying to find a buyer for the photos.

Apparently several tabloids have shown an interest in Ali's naked pics, but the ex's asking price is too high.

Change of subject.

Monday night's previews. I did not watch them until this morning when I read that they pretty much revealed the rest of the show. We see Roberto, Frank and, I think Ty and another guy get the hometown dates. I have trouble remember these guy's names.

Then we go to Tahiti, where it's obvious Frank is one of the final 3. The other 2 are shown also, but again, I am terrible at remembering these guy's names. I'm fairly certain Ty was there. And that blond guy. Or was it Roberto?

Anyway, we see Frank confess to Ali, it seems, that he's just not all that in to her. Ali is shocked, because she really was in to Frank. We see a lot of crying in the preview, with Ali thinking there's something wrong with her and another of the guys saying he just didn't think he could propose under the circumstances. I assume the circumstances are he also isn't all that in to Ali.

I think maybe the The Bachelorette producers made a boo-boo showing way too much in the previews. Then again, it made me want to watch all of the Ali/Frank meltdown.

Project Runway Season 8 Starts July 29 with Heidi Klum & 90 Minute Episodes

That is one of my favorite Reality TV Show Hosts, Heidi Klum, sticking pins into the Project Runway cast.

The 8th season of Lifetime's Project Runway starts up Thursday, July 29 at an earlier time than previously, 9pm instead of 10pm.

And the show has been expanded to 90 minutes. This should allow for the showing of more diva drama among the designers.

I only got hooked on Project Runway a couple seasons ago. I've yet to figure out why I find it entertaining. But I do. Part of it I'm amazed at watching the designers come up with clothes so quickly. And how goofy so much of what they come up with is.

Project Runway will be in New York City again. I liked it when they were in Los Angeles. Why? I don't remember.

HBO Renews True Blood for Fourth Season

HBO has renewed the hit show "True Blood" for a 12-episode fourth season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. Created by Alan Ball, the series will begin production of new episodes early next year in Los Angeles, with debut set for summer 2011.

"The new season of 'True Blood' is off to a terrific start, as enthusiasm for this unique show continues to build among both subscribers and critics," noted Lombardo. "We're looking forward to more chills from Alan Ball and his gifted team next year."

"I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew," says Ball. "This is the most fun I have ever had."

Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, "True Blood" takes place in the not-too-distant future, when vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source. The show follows the romance between waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people's thoughts, and her boyfriend, 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), who went missing at the end of season two, and is now the object of a frantic search. Alan Ball (creator of the Emmy-winning HBO series "Six Feet Under") created and executive produces the show, which is based on the best-selling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Trailer

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is an upcoming two-part fantasy-adventure film directed by David Yates and based on the novel of the same name  by J. K. Rowling. It serves as the seventh and eighth instalments in the popular Harry Potter franchise, as well as the third film to be directed by Yates, who helmed the previous two instalments. David Heyman and David Barron serve as producers for the film and the screenplay is written by Steve Kloves, the screenwriter of the first four and sixth entries. Principal photography for both parts was completed on 12 June 2010.

Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.
